I was recently given a sample of Wysi Wipes to try, and I must say, I’m hooked! These unique wipes by Canawipe Distributors, Ltd. look like small, white tablets. However, when water hits them, they unfold into strong, durable wipes that can be used for a variety of tasks. These would be great to carry in a diaper bag or purse, and they can’t dry out (they aren’t wet until you add water to them). Their Martha Stewart Living special package contains two 100 piece bags and four 12 piece bags, and sells for $29.95 at Canawipe.com.

The Moby Bath Spout Cover by Skip Hop is a great way to protect little heads from bumps and bruises in the tub. This cute little guy gits over the faucet, adding a layer of protection against accidents. We have a similar product that I have been very pleased with. This model, however, has a few features that mine does not. It is dishwasher safe–which is great for keeping germs and mildew and bay. It also has a hooked tail that can be used to hang it up to dry when bath time is done. You can purchase one of these innovative products for a very reasonable $11.95 at bunnyburybaby.com.

What’s better than saving money? Well, getting stuff for free, but I didn’t find an offer for a coupon for that so this is the next best thing! Do you use Johnson’s products on your babe? Get $1 off of their 2-1 shampoos by clicking here. There’s a no more tangles solution for curly hair or straight hair, whichever your child requires.

Here is a great option for bathtime that helps you keep things organic and simple. Made by Kate Quinn Organics, this towel luxuriously soft, so it pampers your little one–it’s perfect for warming up after a winter bath. Although $33 may seem like a lot for a towel, I know from my own experience that you don’t need many of these towels. I would far rather have one towel like this than a crowded linen closet full of less eco-friendly towels. You can purchase one of these at dandelionbaby.com.

My little man loves cars. I think the Alex Squirters-Transportation would delight him at bathtime. My older son would likely get a kick out of them as well. In fun shapes and colors, it’s good to take anywhere, like the beach, or just to the tub for children 6 months and up. Only $9.99 at diapers.com, take them out of the bag individually and they make great stocking stuffers

This cute orange tiger hooded towel from 3 Sprouts is sure to be a hit at any baby shower. The exquisite attention to detail is almost unparalleled among such products. Although a tad extravagant, this 100% cotton towel is generously-sized to grow with the child. You can purchase one of these fun modern towels for $36 at modernmoppet.com.

If your child is anything like mine, he’s very interested in putting items inside other items. Something he enjoys is putting cars inside toy truck trailers but I’m sure he wouldn’t be opposed to putting small items inside the Funny Face Beakers. They have little holes for pouring water through in the tub as well; what child doesn’t enjoy water play? At 14 months, I don’t know if my littlest man old enough to stack them but one never knows. I like the bright colours and the happy faces of this International Playthings set. It’s meant for children 12 months and up and is $12 at Amazon.com.

My kids are big on bath toys. I, on the other hand, have become wary of many of the most popular styles because they collect water, germs, and eventually mildew. It is hard to find toys that won’t collect water, that dry thoroughly, and that can be easily (and completely) cleaned. This Rub-a-Dub Build a City Island looks like a great option. Not only does this floating city look like tons of fun, but its pieces look like they won’t get water inside. It even comes with a suction cup storage bag that keeps the pieces together and helps them dry out. You can pick up this fun toy for $22.95 at onestepahead.com.

Earth Baby Organics is a line of hypoallergenic, non-sensitizing, certified organic bath products for baby. I’ve tried their Tiny Bubbles Baby Shampoo, both on myself and on my son, and I must say I like the gentleness of the product. The fact that it is truly tear-free is not lost on me or my son, either (he’s one of those kids who doesn’t even like to get water in his eyes, let alone shampoo, but he had no problem with this one). It has a pleasant scent and isn’t irritating to skin, scalp or hair. Plus, it gets the job done, cleaning thoroughly yet leaving hair soft and manageable. You can view the Earth Baby Organics line at Amazon.com, where this shampoo sells for $15 for a 6 oz. bottle.

With so much worry about flu right now, I think we are all paying more attention than ever to hand washing. While it is important to have something that kills germs, it is also nice to have something that is all natural, too. This CleanWell All-Natural Antibacterial Foaming Hand Wash offers both. It comes in four scents, and the simple design of the bottle will fit into any modern kitchen or bath. It is also cruelty-free. You can purchase a bottle for $6.99 at babyearth.com.

From celebrity-favorite for children’s bath products, Little Twig, comes this sweet little set of insect-themed washcloths. This would be a great addition to any baby’s bath time. It would also be an ideal component for a diaper cake or gift basket. You can buy this set of three cloths for $12.95 at babyearth.com.

Original Sprout, a company from San Luis Obispo, CA, is a family-run business that creates a line of natural, high-performance hair and skin care products for babies and up. A favorite of celebrity parents such as Josh Brolin, Cindy Crawford, and Diane Lane, these products are gentle enough for babies but also appropriate for adult use. My son and I recently tried their Natural Shampoo and loved it. It’s free of sulfates, doesn’t cause tears, and rinses away easily (avoiding a problem with many baby/child-oriented shampoos I’ve tried on my son). None of their products contain phytoestrogens either, and this shampoo also contains no gluten or soy. It left both my son’s and my hair soft, manageable, and smelling fresh. You can purchase a 12 oz. bottle of this great shampoo for $19.50 at OriginalSprout.com.

This might look a bit odd at first glance, but it actually makes sense. Tummy Tub is a unique bathtub designed to make a newborn’s transition from the womb easier. Designed in the Netherlands, the Tummy Tub womb-shaped bathtub helps baby adapt to the fetal position, easing gas, colic, and calming baby. It is also safe in that it is phthalate, BPA, and lead free. Tummy Tub is said to use less water, energy, and space than a traditional baby tub. If you’d like to check it out for yourself, visit
TummyTubUSA.com where the Tummy Tub sells for $44.95 through its retailer, BathedWithLove.com.

I remember as a new mom one of the things that frightened me most was baby’s bath time. It just seemed to me that so much could go wrong: baby could slip out of my hands while I was bathing him, hit his head on the sink or baby bathtub, the list went on and on. I really like the idea of this Baby Shower Sling by Bathing Buddies. Made of a soft athletic mesh, it allows a parent to wear the sling over the shoulder, keeping baby close to you while you both get a shower. It can also be used in swimming pools to keep baby close while still enjoying the water. I can’t believe no one thought of this before, because it’s such a great idea. You can view a video on this product at BathingBuddies.com, where the sling sells for $25 and is available in women’s sizes from XS to L.
