I was recently given a sample of Wysi Wipes to try, and I must say, I’m hooked! These unique wipes by Canawipe Distributors, Ltd. look like small, white tablets. However, when water hits them, they unfold into strong, durable wipes that can be used for a variety of tasks. These would be great to carry in a diaper bag or purse, and they can’t dry out (they aren’t wet until you add water to them). Their Martha Stewart Living special package contains two 100 piece bags and four 12 piece bags, and sells for $29.95 at Canawipe.com.

Here’s an idea I’m surprised no one has thought of before: a vending machine full of baby supplies. Innovative Vending Solutions has created the Baby Station, a machine that dispenses diapers, wipes, pacifiers, rattles, bottles, and more. The machines are placed in areas where you would expect to find moms/dads and babies in need of items on the go, such as shopping malls. Right now the machines are in limited distribution (mostly in the Ohio and California areas), but as the company grows, they will be found more often across the United States. The company also sells the machines as a business opportunity which may appeal to stay-at-home parents. You can view this intriguing idea at InnovativeVendingSolutions.com.

I am fortunate enough to be able to leave work to nurse a few times each day, but I still need to pump. It is a bit of a chore, so I’m always looking for ways to make it easier. These Medela wipes are a great way to quickly clean pump parts. While I thoroughly clean everything at the end of the day, it is nice to just wipe things down in between. They are alcohol free, and can also be used on toys, surfaces, etc. At $8.99 for 24 wipes, they are pretty pricey. If I calculate the time saved at work, however, they are more than worth it. You can purchase a pack in stores with baby departments (I bought mine at Target), or online at toysrus.com.

When I came across a product on the internet called Boogie Wipes recently, I had to check them out. Invented by two moms calling themselves The Boogie Moms as a solution to their children’s constantly running noses, Boogie Wipes are moist wipes containing saline to help dissolve mucus while simultaneously soothing raw, chapped noses. Any mom who has listened to their children’s cries while trying to wipe runny noses will appreciate this idea. They come in a variety of scents, including Fresh Scent, Great Grape Scent, and Menthol Scent, and in a variety of sizes. The basic pack of Boogie Wipes sells for just $3.99 per pack of 30. I think I’ll pick some up now to have on hand for the next attack of allergies or colds. You can view these innovative wipes at BoogieWipes.com.

If you’re like me, you can’t sew but you do like to make your contribution to a green earth. Though we use cloth diapers, we’ve never made the move into cloth wipes. If you’re looking to make the switch, however, you might as well go all out. It’ll be more fun cleaning baby’s bum (and showing off your stylish wipes to friends) with Mod Elephants from Etsy seller gnomeclothes rather than generic off-white disposable wipes. $4.40 for a set of 4 and during earth month, if you buy 3 sets, you get another one free (that goes for every 3 sets you buy.)
Cloth squares useful as napkins, face cloths, and for a slew of other things. If the Mod Elephants aren’t your thing, there are lots of other patterns to choose from and tons of sellers on etsy.com offering a variety of patterns in reusable baby wipes. Many sellers have cloth wipe solution up for sale or you can research online and make your own.

We Moms know that germs are everywhere, and bound to get on your child’s hands. You can carry Iiquid hand sanitizer in your purse or diaper bag, but chances are the top will come loose and spill all over the bag’s contents (believe me, it’s happened to me).
An alternative to messy sanitizers is Sani-Hands for Kids Instant Hand Sanitizing Wipes. Made by Nice-Pak Products, Inc., these antimicrobial wipes are said to kill 99.9% of germs and also contain moisturizing ingredients such as aloe and Vitamin E. This way your child’s hands will get clean but not dry and cracked. Its manufacturers say each wipe can be used repeatedly (I’m not sure how sanitary that would be myself), and that the sanitizer dries instantly on kids’ hands.
The primary ingredient in these wipes, like in most sanitizing agents, is alcohol, so you would have to make sure that sanitized little fingers didn’t go straight into little mouths. You can purchase Sani-Hands for Kids at drugstore.com, where a box of 24 wipes sells for just $3.29.

This Diapers & Wipes Caddy by JJ Cole looks like it keeps everything very neat and compact in a stylish manner. You might think twice before you start tossing everything into this caddy just any old way. This caddy looks more like an accessory — one that you’ll be motivated to keep neat.
It has plenty of room for diapers, wipes case and lotion and even comes with a coordinating changing pad. There’s a drawer for cotton balls, balms and other small items. Its stylish colors and fabrics coordinate with any nursery. It has protective rubber feet so it won’t scratch baby’s changing table or dresser.
This caddy is available in Blue, Pink, and Green Stripe for $29.95 at babyearth.com.

Cottonelle Flushable Moist Wipes are the environmental choice for the whole family, especially for potty training toddlers. However, read the fine print before you start. In order to safely flush them into your septic system, you must only use one or two wipes per flush.
I’m going to keep searching for infant-specific flushable wipes because even though I cloth diaper, I do not use cloth wipes. For now, these are alcohol free, mild wipes for everyone. They’re nearly $4 (or less when on sale) for 42 wipes with a pop-up tub and handy to have in any washroom.
I found the Cottenelle Flushable Moist Wipes on sale at drugstore.com.

It can be hard sometimes to find cleaning wipes that can get rid of germs and not harm our little ones. That’s why I am so glad that I found Elise’s Original Germ Fighter Wipes. Gwenyth Paltrow loves these all-natural wipes that are perfect for everthing from washing hands to wiping down that pacifier that fell on the floor outside. Even the scent is great! The organic lavender and chamolmile scent is sure to not only keep your baby clean, but relaxed as well. You can pick a set of these wipes up at elsiesoriginal.com for $10 . You’ll also find a huge variety of other baby-friendly items. Check it out!
