I’ve seen the Ugg booties for infants, which look warm, but not very practical. These “Boo” booties, on the other hand, look as functional as they do warm. These are designed in sizes from infants up to a toddler 7-8, which is what my almost 4-year-old is wearing these days. Elastic at the back keeps them on. At $49.95 these are a lot cheaper than the grown up version, but just as hip. You can purchase a pair at shop.nordstrom.com.

The Plan Toys WoodPecker Walker is a really sharp-looking push toy for beginning walkers. As the wheels turn, the two woodpeckers move back and forth, “pecking” the wood and making a fun sound. That definitely sounds like it would encourage a little one to get mobile. At $76.50 this toy is also slightly less expensive than other similar toys that I have priced recently. If we didn’t still have wooden walking toys left over from daughter number two, I would likely purchase this for our baby. You can check it out at babyearth.com.

I really appreciate when a product has versatile features, like this Baby Gym and Walker by Hess. If your infant is at the pre-walking stage, use this as a gym while baby is sitting or lying down. Once they’re reaching up and holding onto whatever steady piece of furniture they can find to lift themselves up, they can use the Baby Gym as a Walker. You’ll really be getting your money’s worth from this product.
Visit KangarooBoo.com to purchase this item, priced at $129.99. It’s made of sustainable beech wood and handcrafted with non-toxic, saliva-resistant paint and glue.

We have had great luck with Keen shoes in our family. They are very comfortable, versatile, and they have a unique appearance that I love. I recently fell in love with these Payson infant/toddler shoes that are part of the company’s new line. I always like Mary Janes, because they go with just about anything in your little girl’s wardrobe. Add in the hip styling that makes the Payson identifiably Keen, and you’ve got a great modern twist on this classic style of shoe. These don’t seem to be in our local shoe store yet, but they are available at a number of online stores.
Available in either “Brandied Apricot,” or “Grayed Jade,” these shoes are made in both infant/walker and toddler sizes. The feature a leather upper with a rubber sole. You can purchase a pair for $44.95 (with free shipping until October 28) at Nordstrom.com.
