Valentine’s Trading Cards by Munchkin Designs

valentine2010_medium

Every year it’s hard to choose which Valentines to send in to school with my son. I really like these Valentine’s Day Trading Cards by Munchkin Designs. They’re small, perfect for young kids, and come in packs of 30 for just $4.95 (a real bargain when you begin pricing packs of kids’ valentines). Better still, you can add 30 organic lollipops to your order and really make the kids in your child’s preschool or classroom happy! These unique Valentines are available at MunchkinDesigns.com.

Webkinz Valentines Love Frog

My niece is a fan of Webkinz, along with tons of other children out there, and with Valentine’s Day coming up, I’d like to give her something she might like. We all know how hard it can be to choose just the right present for kids over 3. I spotted this Webkinz Valentines Love Frog at geniusbabies.com and thought it was cute enough to be just the thing. Not only is it loveable but this Webkinz is interactive as well; kids just use a secret code (included with all Webkinz) online to play games, take care of a virtual pet, and to participate in many other activities. Buy this plush toy that you can send already gift wrapped (for a few dollars extra) for $19.95 and you’ve got a great older kid present.

Wait a Minute, Mr. Postman and Be Mine Play Valentines

Wait a Minute, Mr. Postman and Be Mine Play Valentines

When I was little, my mom was always coming up with creative ideas around the house.  One of my fondest memories involves some “mailboxes” that she made for me and my sister out of oatmeal boxes.  We loved checking to see if the flag was up and what was inside.

This cute little set brought all of those memories back.  It consists of a soft, wool felt mailbox (complete with flag), a mailbag that secures with a drawstring, a shipping box, and miscellaneous postcards, envelopes, labels, and stamps.  Just in time for Valentine’s Day, an optional set allows your child to design his or her own reusable Valentines for mom, dad, even the cat and/or dog.  A set of messages allows your child to express him/herself without writing.

The set is absolutely adorable, and will make for a great deal of creative play.  It is also a good opportunity to teach your child about the community and how the post office works.  You can purchase the set for $59 at LandOfNod.com.  The Valentine set is an additional $24.95.  I think any young child would enjoy receiving this as a gift.
