Just fill the reservoir with warm water from the faucet (there is a temperature gauge strip at the bottom of the reservoir) and keep it to the side until you’re ready to rinse your child’s hair. Looks like you pump the spray of water, so that gives you more control as to how much water you use.

I would try this product. It’s probably fun to use too. Depending on your child’s age they might be able to have fun rinsing their own hair (watch for soap in the eyes!).
