Got an amphibian lover in the family? I know we do and it’s me. I think this Frog Hat with Plain Red or Pink Lips is nothing short of cute. In bright greens and with fun goggle eyes, it’s got earflaps to keep little ears warm and is available with a frog prince crown. Match it to a green or brown coat and watch passersby smile. Sold by Etsy’s nancy2349, it’s fun for all ages at $20.

One Lil’ Cupcake was founded in 2007 by a stay-at-home mom who designed hair clips for her daughter to ensure that others knew she was a girl. This hobby grew into a business, and now One Lil’ Cupcake carries a wide variety of handmade hair clips for babies and bigger girls. One of my favorites is this Red, White & Blue Star Hair Clip, perfect for the upcoming Independence Day holiday. It is made of 100% wool felt, hand-stitched and contains a 1 1/4″ snap clip. Measuring 1.5″ x 1.5″, the hair clip sells for $6 each at OneLilCupcake.com.

When it comes to water shoes, our family is divided. Half us us wear KEENS, the other half Tevas. Tevas became popular late in my high school days, but somehow I have never owned a pair (well, except for a pair of their hybrid sneakers). In general, I’m just not much of a sandal person, so I don’t tend to buy them for my kids. My partner, on the other hand, lives in them in the summer, and his kids have grown to love them too.
I have to say that they are growing on me because they are so practical (fast-drying, easy to clean). The appearance has grown on me a bit too, with the appearance of fun patterns like this bright red and yellow Daisy print. This particular pair comes in kids sizes and retails for $32.50. You can purchase them at tinysoles.com.

I’m never so fortunate as to find a two-piece bathing suit that fits my wildly disproportionate body. When I saw this gorgeous nursing suit from Belabumbum, I so wished I was built a bit differently. I love the brilliant red color, and the bow under the breasts is very flattering to a nursing body. The long, A-line top is very forgiving of a little leftover baby belly, too. You can purchase one of these suits for $108 at picklesandicecream.com. The shop warns that it runs small, so be prepared to swallow your pride and order a size up!

Although I think we are all starting to focus on warm weather and spring colors, I recently found a great deal on these L’Amour Boots and purchased a pair for my daughter. I think they will be perfect for next fall. Red is such a fun, vibrant color, and I think every little girl should have a fun pair of boots that add a splash of color and style to fall days. These are made from red lined suede, decorated with a bow. I’m not crazy about the bow, but I don’t think it will show most of the time because my daughter will likely be wearing them with pants–I think they’ll be great with jeans. The sizes are now limited, but you can snap up a pair for $20.40 at forgetmenotkids.com.

These are so delicate. Sara’s Prints 2-Layered Tank and Pant Set will be just right for the spring. They look light-weight and soft, required features for children’s clothing. I like the faux two-layer top because it just makes things easier for kids. The under tee won’t get lost and won’t get ruffled under the tank. The wide waistband on the pants also makes a more comfortable fit. The set is advertised as being sleepwear, but it looks like it could just as appropriately be worn in the daytime. Visit BarefootBella.net to view this item which is on sale for just $12 (down from $32). It’s available is sizes 8, 10, & 12.

Here’s a striking pair of shoes that is sure to delight any hip little girl. Available in sizes from a toddler 4 up to a girls 2, these Red Zebra Ballet Slippers by Kamara are fun and edgy. The body of the shoe is made from a zebra print fabric and is accented with a bright red ribbon rose at the toe. An elastic strap and a satin ribbon tie keep the shoes in place. Your daughter doesn’t need to be a dancer to enjoy these shoes. They would look great with just about anything, from jeans to a casual skirt. You can purchase a pair for $34.95 at OneSpoiledBaby.com. They would make a great gift too.

I didn’t start out as a big fan of hats for my girls. They wore winter hats when it was cold and sun hats in the summer. Lately, though, we’ve begun to expand our horizons, in part because there are suddenly so many fun, decorative hats out there. Petite Fleur Designs, a mom-owned business, offers a number of unique and stylish hats for both boys and girls. Their products are fun and stylish without being over-the-top or gaudy.
I particularly like this Red Crochet Toddler hat, which has a great vintage feel about it. Made from soft and flexible crochet, the hat is easy to get on and off and comfortable for a little one to wear. Its color scheme–a splash of white on red–is quite stunning. It would be perfect for holiday wear and beyond. The stretch fabric also extends the life of this hat which fits from roughly 18 months up to nine years. Due to its bright colors and Swarovski crystals, your daughter will want to wear it as long as she can.
You can purchase one of these hats, or check out the rest of the collection, which offers a number of fun hat, how, and hair clip designs at petitefleurdesigns.com. This hat retails for $22.

I never thought of myself as the kind of parent who dresses her daughters up in tutus. It was just not something that held that much appeal to me. At my toddler’s Halloween party at daycare, however, she begged me to let her wear another child’s tutu instead of her own costume. It was one of the first times that she has ever expressed a strong preference for a piece of clothing, so now I am thinking that a tutu might make an excellent holiday gift. I’m surprised to say that I have actually had a lot of fun looking at all of the different tutus that are out there. They are far nicer and far more appealing than I ever imagined.
This red toddler tutu from Kiwi industries is one of my favorites. I like the fact that it appears much more substantial than many others that I have seen. The tutu is made from layers of tulle which hold silk flowers for an added touch. It features a satin belt at the waist that is decorated with a rose.
You can purchase one of these tutus for $32 at kitsel.com. It is designed to fit children who normally wear sizes 2-5. It would make a wonderful holiday gift, and would also be quite cute in holiday photos.

Your little girl will look just like Santa’s helper in this beautiful Miss Santa holiday dress. Made of 100% cotton, this long sleeved, fur lined dress features snowflake embroidery and a fur lining. It comes with a matching Santa hat and white leggings.
Imagine the photos of your daughter perched on Santa’s lap wearing this Miss Santa dress and matching hat! They would be priceless. The dress is available in red and burgundy (shown above), in sizes 2T to 4T, for $37.95 at TinyTotDressShop.com.

My experience has been that you can’t go wrong with anything from Kathe Kruse. These German-made products are always a treat, and their high-quality construction ensures that they will last. I love the unusual design of this Red Santa Stocking. This 13 inch stocking features a row of jingle bells along the top and another at the toe. Kids will no doubt love to give it a shake. The elf-like design makes it stand out. It is perfect for adding a little character to your holiday decorating.
You can purchase one of these stockings for a very reasonable $14.99 at Oompa.com.

The Cuddle Sneeky Red toy from Keptin Jr is a cute little companion for your child that is at least as adorable as it is funny-looking. Made from 100% cotton terry cloth and filled with pure wool, this toy measures 13 inches in length. Recommended for newborns and up, this toy is intended for cuddling and teething, and is sure to comfort little ones while bringing a smile to their parents’ faces.
I am really taken with the goofy appeal of this simple little toy. I think it would be a great addition to a gift basket for new parents, or would look equally great as a package topper. I think it would make a sweet stocking stuffer for our baby, who will be a newborn this holiday season. If you would like to purchase one of these creative toys, you can check them out at moolka.com. They retail for $17.49.

I had to smile when I saw this furry red coat from Catmini. My older daughter had a coat very similar to this one when she was a toddler. I loved the way it looked and she loved the way it felt. It was so eye-catching that people used to stop me all the time to ask where I had purchased it. One woman even gave me her business card and asked me to call her when we were done with it! I tried to interest my younger daughter in a furry coat last winter, but I didn’t find one quite this cool, and she wasn’t very interested.
Although the coat is a bit on the expensive side at $120, you can always count on Catimini to be as well-made as it fashion-forward. We have one Catimini coat that survived my older daughter for two winters and will be handed down to my younger daughter this winter. You will not be disappointed in your investment. The coat comes in sizes from 24 months to 4 years. This design of this coat is so fun that you could actually give it as a gift. You can buy one at AChildsCloset.com. The coat is still on pre-order at this time, but is scheduled to ship soon.

This bold red top capri set by Sophia’s Style Boutique is kind of Kabuki-looking and a little dramatic - but how fun! It comes in sizes from 12mos to 4T. I can just imagine my toddler having lots of fun in this outfit. She’d be spinning in circles with this free-flowing set.
This paisley print soft cotton top and Capri set is made exclusively by Sophia’s Style Boutique and is available for $16.99 at Sophiasstyle.com.
