baby be Yoga Pants

baby be Yoga Pants

Recently, I bought baby be yoga pants for my baby on Etsy.com. I love the Brown Elie (elephant) and found the perfect top to match it to in my littlest son’s closet. There are matching tops for sale, if you like a full ensemble. Though I thought they were more of a Gi material, they are actually a simple pair of cotton pants. Therefore, I might have paid a bit much for them at $15, they were just too cute to pass up. Available in 0-3. 3-6, and 18-24 Month sizes, they’re precious on, have a lot of give for cloth diapers and growing, and look comfy as can be. The seller is very helpful and friendly, something I value when buying online.

Cocoa Yoga Pants by speesees

Cocoa Yoga Pants

If I love the comfort of yoga pants, it only stands to reason that my baby will too. When I saw the yoga pants on ittletreehouse.ca, I swooned over the rainbow of colors and was glad to see that they were organic cotton. Besides the fact that my son wears cloth diapers and needs roomy pants, I hate to constrict him in pants that have no give. These Cocoa Yoga Pants by speesees for babies 0-3 Month right up to 2T have “extra room in the rump” and are $21.95 (CAD) and just adorable in cocoa, grass green, raspberry pink, and robin’s egg.

Matilda & Company Red Ribbon Flowers Enchanted Lounge Pants

Matilda & Company Red Ribbon Flowers Enchanted Lounge Pants

These Matilda & Company Red Ribbon Flowers Enchanted Lounge Pants are as sweet as can be. Their wide legs look both comfortable and stylish, and I love the over-sized drawstring. Just because they are called “lounge pants,” doesn’t mean they are purely for wearing around the house. I would send any of my girls out and about in these. They come in sizes from 2/3T up to 8, and retail for $59. You can purchase a pair at rsavenue.com.

Sweet Peanut Flower Power Floral Pants

Sweet Peanut Flower Power Floral Pants

While traditional baby clothes are fun, sometimes its nice to mix things up a bit with a bold and unexpected print. That’s the idea behind these Flower Power pants from Sweet Peanut. Made in sizes from 0-3 months up to 6-12 months, these soft, 100% cotton pants are as eye-catching as they are cozy. You can purchase a pair for $17.50. A matching shirt is also available, but I think they would look better with a plain colored tee and/or cardigan. You can purchase a pair at theredballoon.com.

Upscale On a Budget: Old Navy Button Pocket Cords

Upscale On a Budget: Old Navy Button Pocket Cords

Here’s a great look for fall that won’t break the bank. Available in a number of shades, these cords feature cute little pockets, complete with buttons. This classic look will be perfect with autumn sweaters and vests. They are available in sizes from 6-12 months up to 5T and retail for $16.50. You can purchase them at Old Navy stores, or online at OldNavy.com.

Plaid Okkie Pant

Plaid Okkie Pant

The current trend for young boys of wearing plaid shorts and cropped pants is definitely a cute one. I like the preppy but off-the-beaten-track feel of it and would gladly let my son have some if he expressed interest. You can pretty much find them everywhere, but I do like the prepster cool pair from Okkies.com for the sale price of $30.99 (they were $47!) Get ’em in either blue/mint or lime/aqua in sizes 6 months right up to boys size 8. Comfy in 100% cotton, they can be worn everywhere; dressed up for school with a polo shirt or to the beach with a muscle tee.

L.L.Bean Zip-Off Pants with Insect Shield

L.L.Bean Zip-Off Pants with Insect Shield

These pants from L.L.Bean may not be super-exciting to look at, but they have several great features. Like many popular designs for kids, these can be zipped off into shorts. More impressively, they are made with Insect Shield, an odorless invisible protection from mosquitoes, ticks, and other bugs. Right now, they are on sale for roughly half price. You can purchase a pair in boys/girls or little boys/little girls sizes for $24.99 at LLBean.com. Several colors are available.

Ingrid & Isabel Everywear Maternity Pants

ingrid-and-isabel

When you’re pregnant, finding comfortable pants can be almost impossible. The Everywear Pant by Ingrid & Isabel is supposed to solve that problem. Versatile and stretchy, the Everywear pant features a long waistband that can be worn up for full belly coverage, folded at the waist for belly support, or down around your hips. Made of 86% Nylon and 14% Spandex, the Everywear pant is designed for use during pregnancy and the postpartum period. They come in sizes based on your pre-pregnancy weight, and are available for $88 at doulashop.com. (For that price, they better last through at least one pregnancy and beyond!)

Girls Right Bank Pink Pillowcase Pant and Top Set

This outfit was featured in Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine. I like it because it’s so feminine. The Pink Pillowcase Pant and Top Set by Right Bank is made from pillowcases, with ribbon ties on the shoulders and embroidered detail along the hem of both the top and pants. The outfit is treated to prevent fraying. Available in sizes 0-6 months through 6X, you can purchase this romantic, feminine set for your little girl at SaigeNicoles.com for $99 (regularly $110).

Chase n’ Sky Ruffle Pants

I love the breezy summer look of these ruffle pants from the Hawaiian company Chase n’ Sky. Simple, comfortable, and elegant, they are perfect for everyday wear, but just sophisticated enough that you could dress them up. My daughter has a similar pair of pants and we absolutely love them. These are made with a linen blend and feature an easy waist that is perfect for children learning to dress independently and use the potty. You can purchase a pair for $35 at artebebe.com. They are available in sizes from 12 months to 6 years.

Sale on Zen Kimono/Pants Set at Sckoon

Organic baby clothing can be expensive, as can kimono style baby outfits, but I found a great sale price at Sckoon.com on a Zen kimono/pants set. They have a cloud motif, which they describe on the site as a symbol of freedom, and are sold in 6/12 M sizes for a sale price of $9.99. That’s only $20 for a pant and top set that would normally cost $40! Get a hat to match for $7.99 and you’re all set with a super cute outfit or a luxurious gift for a baby shower.

Military Crops from Kate Quinn Organics

Military Crops from Kate Quinn Organics

I love this look for a little boy. Made by Kate Quinn Organics, these Military Crops are super cute and made for comfort. Constructed from 100% organic cotton, they feature front, back, and cargo pockets and close with a zip fly. The cropped length is perfect for spring weather. Little boys will be able to run, climb, and tumble to their hearts’ content in these pants. They are available in several color choices and in sizes from 3-6 months up to 8 years. You can purchase a pair for $32 at KateQuinnOrganics.com.

Naartjie Gecko Fleece Pants

Naartjie Gecko Fleece Pants

My son’s fluffy cloth diapered bum means that it is tougher to find pants that fit nicely. After doing some asking around, I found naartjie.com which had decent prices but not a lot of selection. I liked the $19.95 Gecko fleece pants, which came in several sizes (3-6M, 6-12M, 12-18M, 18-24M, and 2T) and neutral colors (cement, creek, and storm cloud.) They’re 100% cotton, equipped with lots of pockets for carrying all the stuff little guys pick up, and can be thrown in the machine for washing out all the dirt from playing hard.

An option many moms swear by is the Wiggle Pants collection by Hanna Andersson. They’re less expensive and roomy in the bum, with specially sewn seams for wiggle room. Made in organic cotton (a lovely material I favor), they are only $16.50 at HannaAndersson.com. They come in all kinds of colors for boys or girls, including white, red, pink and blue.

There are so many things to think about when you’re having a baby and how to fit their bums in pants shouldn’t have to be one of them! Hopefully I’ve done some of the work for you; I think these two sites are a great place to start for your cloth-bottomed baby.

Hanna Andersson Organic Cotton Soft Landings Pants

I had to smile at the irony of receiving Hanna Andersson’s new spring catalog on one of the coldest days of the year. It definitely makes me long for warmer weather. In general I am excited for summer when our baby will be sitting up, starting to crawl, and all the other things that make the 6 month age so much fun. These fun clothes from Anderson just seem perfect for that age.  I especially love these Soft Landings Pants, which feature a cute little starfish on the behind.

Made from 100% organic, pre-washed cotton, they are eco-friendly, and sure to make everyone who sees them smile.  Picture how cute it would be to see a baby crawling with that starfish on her bottom. The company is currently offering a discount on spring purchases, so you can get these on sale for $19.60 (they are regularly $24.50).  They are available in sizes from newborn up to 3 1/2years.  You can purchase them at HannaAndersson.com.  There are some cute coordinating shirts and an adorable matching jacket as well.

Mini Stripe Pants from Pottery Barn Kids

Mini Stripe Pants from Pottery Barn Kids

I just bought the navy and white version of these Mini Stripe Pants from Pottery Barn Kids for my three-year-old.  I like the way they look, and they seem like they are super-comfortable.  With an elastic waist and wide legs, they are easy to get on and off, which makes them perfect for my daughter as she masters going to the bathroom independently. She wears them with a long white tunic, and the look is very clean, classic, and casual.

These pants are available in a number of colors and are made from a very soft 100% cotton.  They are available in sizes from 0-3 months up to 36 months.  You can purchase a pair at PotteryBarnKids.com.  The original retail was $16, although some colors are currently on sale for as little as $7.99.
