Bravado! Designs Original Nursing Bra

bravado

I’d always heard that bravado!’s nursing bra was the gold standard for breastfeeding moms, but I never owned one before baby number three. Friends swear by them, but I have to say that I am less than enamored with mine. Although I bought the right size according to the packaging, I don’t feel like I get enough support from this bra. I also find the design a bit strange (see the picture for the unusual strap that extends well into the bra itself), and the adjusters on the straps slip easily, leading to even less support. I know others love this bra, so I’m disappointed that it isn’t for me. Luckily, I’m reaching the point at which it is easy and comfortable to nurse in regular bras. If you want to check out what all the hype is about, you can purchase one of these bras for $35 at BravadoDesigns.com.

This Original Personalized Boy’s Shirt from Luna B. Tee features your son’s initial in a circle on the front of the shirt and his name written around the circle. Luna B. The shirts are white, but there are a variety of color choices from which to choose for the logo. The shirt is available in sizes from 18 months to 12 years for $24.99 at LadybugsAndLilypads.com. This would make a great gift.

Peekaru Original Vest

I recently stumbled upon this unique vest in Parenting magazine and just had to read more about it. The Peekaru Original Vest is a new way to “wear” your baby. Different from a baby sling, the Peekaroo  is a fleece vest that fits over any traditional baby sling or wrap and provides extra warmth for both you and your baby. It is supposed to fit comfortably over all brands of baby carriers. It’s made of 85% recycled Polartec fleece, with each Peekaru vest saving 25 plastic bottles from heading to the landfill. It is also Okeo-tex Standard 100, so you know it’s eco-friendly. The vest comes in black, blue, gray, green, or lavender, and in sizes appropriate for mommies and daddies. This seems like a must-have winter accessory to me, if you have a baby that you routinely carry in a sling. It costs $79.95 at TogetherBe.com.

Educo Original Supermaze Toy

Educo Original Super Maze Toy

I bought one of these for our play room after my daughter showed great interest in similar toys in the doctor’s office waiting room.  Although it doesn’t continue to attract the same level of attention that it used to (and what toy does?), the Original Supermaze Toy by Educo remains a favorite.  It has also held up quite well.

Recommended for children ages two and up, this toy features a number of colored wooden beads that your child moves about on a wire maze.  It helps to build fine motor and spatial reasoning skills.  You can also use it to help familiarize your little one with the colors.

You can purchase one of these mazes for $54.95 at GrowingTreeToys.com.  It will make a wonderful holiday or birthday gift.

The Original Slumber Bear by Prince Lionheart

The Original Slumber Bear

The Original Slumber Bear by Prince Lionheart contains an audio box with recorded intra-uterine womb sounds that will help lull your baby to sleep. It was invented by a doctor and has apparently been used in hospital nurseries for the past 25 years. Of course the natural sounds of the womb would be the best lullaby for baby.

The Original Slumber Bear by Prince Lionheart can be placed beside your baby or attached to the crib railing. The audio box is removable and can also be attached to the crib railing or stroller - wherever it’s needed. Price: $37.99 at PrinceLionheart.com.
