Bravado Sublime Nursing Bra

Bravado Sublime Nursing Bra

Everyone swears by Bravado nursing bras. My one experience with their basic model wasn’t stellar, but I recently saw this one online and liked the look of it immediately. The biggest draw, I think, is that it doesn’t look like a nursing bra. It had a much more flattering design and fit than the one I had I love the “black cherry” color, too. This bra features a soft cup and easy to use clips for easy access when it is time to feed. You can purchase one in a whole range of sizes for $45 at breakoutbras.stores.yahoo.net. A matching brief retails for $18.

An Affordable Nursing Bra Option

An Affordable Nursing Bra Option

Here is a great deal if you are looking for a high quality nursing bra that won’t destroy your budget. Made by Second Nature, this bra is available in a number of sizes. Designed by Anna Cecilia, its zippered cups are made to be comfortable and easy to use. It is made of microfiber for comfort and quick drying. At $10.49, this bra is a steal–especially since you will pay more for a nursing bra at a discount store like Target or Walmart. The original retail was $39.99. You can purchase one at kidsurplus.com.

Bravado! Designs Original Nursing Bra

I’d always heard that bravado!’s nursing bra was the gold standard for breastfeeding moms, but I never owned one before baby number three. Friends swear by them, but I have to say that I am less than enamored with mine. Although I bought the right size according to the packaging, I don’t feel like I get enough support from this bra. I also find the design a bit strange (see the picture for the unusual strap that extends well into the bra itself), and the adjusters on the straps slip easily, leading to even less support. I know others love this bra, so I’m disappointed that it isn’t for me. Luckily, I’m reaching the point at which it is easy and comfortable to nurse in regular bras. If you want to check out what all the hype is about, you can purchase one of these bras for $35 at BravadoDesigns.com.

Nursing Tank Top by Glamourmom.com

While the debate about breastfeeding in public continues on, one thing is for sure; mothers who want to breastfeed are looking for a hassle-free way to do so. Glamourmom.com has responded with a product that provides simple style and functionality: a tank top with a built-in nursing bra.

No more heaving up the shirt and fiddling with the nursing bra here. There are simple snaps on either side that can be undone one-handed (I’ve practiced on mine a few times) adjustable straps, and a mesh lining in the shelf bra for nursing pads. It offers a bit more discretion than a nursing bra, as it only exposes what the baby needs.

There are a few simple varieties of the nursing top, including long sleeve and swimsuit versions. The nursing bra tanks start at $34, although you can purchase cheaper ones by selecting their color of the month. I opted for this and ordered an apple green color that screamed ‘I’m a discount color’ right away. The only other option for a discount is to choose a fabric design that may attract unwanted attention even when you’re not breastfeeding.

Purchases can be made online, but to save on shipping you can search for a retail store near you on their website at glamourmom.com. I’m anxious to give it a try on my soon-to-be-born son, and I get a feeling that I might be snagging a few more of these convenient tanks in the near future.
