Maternal America Maternity French Terry Set

yhst-94496443592218_2068_75134580

This French Terry Set from Maternal America looks like exactly the kind of clothing you want when you are pregnant. Made from 100% cotton, it is made to be comfortable. Its black color and flattering make it even more appealing, especially as you get bigger, more uncomfortable, and (at least in my case) more self-conscious about your changing shape. You can purchase this splurgy set for $144 at picklesandicecream.com. Need an excuse to spend $144? It looks like it will serve well as post-maternity transition wear as well.

Walmart.com Clearance: Deals on Maternity Clothes

Walmart.com has a clearance sale going on now, and you can find some great prices on their maternity clothing. If you’re pregnant now (or plan to be pregnant in the colder weather) you can buy items such as a Maternity Cardigan for just $3. Other Maternity deals include the short sleeve jersey trapeze shirt (shown above) for $4 and a Maternity Color-Block Zip Jacket for $5. They might not be the most fashionable maternity clothes on the market, but these are great for wearing around the house or on casual occasions. To view all of the deals, including price slashes on baby products and clothing, visit Walmart.com.

Motherwear Nursing Swimwear Sale: Surplice Swimsuit

Motherwear Nursing Swimwear Sale: Surplice Swimsuit

Motherwear.com is having an outstanding sale on nursing friendly swimwear. There are tankinis, one-piece swimsuits, and suits with skirts, all equipped to make nursing easier while at the beach or pool. I liked the Surplice Swimsuit (shown above) especially; it comes in four different colors and five different sizes (up to 1X) and is only $8.99 on sale. That is a savings of $60.01! The other suits range in price from $9.99 to $29.95. Though all sales are final, at these prices, you really can’t lose. Made of nylon/spandex with a built-in nursing bra, get it in Black, Caribbean, Hibiscus Blue Print, or Orchid. If you really like it, you could buy all the colors for the price of one regular department store swimsuit.

Double the Occupancy Maternity Tee by MommyLoves.com

“Double The Occupancy” Maternity Tee

I got so big when I was pregnant with my twins, that I got tired of people acting surprised when I told them how far along I was. In fact, one time when I was leaving the hospital after an ultrasound appointment, the guy at the door told me I was going the wrong way. The reality is that you get bigger a lot faster when you’re pregnant with two. Perhaps if I had a shirt like this, I would have avoided some of the annoying commentary.

This fun “Double the Occupancy” maternity top is available in both short and long sleeves, making it ideal for any season. It is available in a variety of colors and sizes—there’s even a sizing chart to help you pick the perfect fitting shirt for you, though I would agree with the manufacturer to go one size higher than you usually are as you will find yourself growing out of even maternity tops by your third trimester. Selling for $29.99 on mommyloves.com, this shirt would be a perfect gift for yourself or for an expectant mother of twins that you know.

Isabella Oliver Maternity Drop Waist Dress

If you’re looking for a stylish, “going-out” maternity dress, Isabella Oliver currently has this Drop Waist Dress on sale for half off its original price. Nicer, more stylish maternity dresses for special occasions are often hard to find and when you do find them, they can be pricey. At half off, this dress is still a bit overpriced, but it looks like it would flatter the pregnant figure. The blouson top can be worn on or off the shoulder. The silky 100% Vicoise material would be comfortable as well. It is available in cranberry only (shown above) in limited sizes, for $87.50 (regularly $175) at IsabellaOliver.com.

Isabella Oliver Twist Turtleneck

Isabella Oliver Twist Turtleneck

While for the most part I have to say that I am glad to be back in regular clothes again, a small part of me misses my maternity wardrobe.  As I hunt out transition and nursing clothing, my eyes keep wandering back to the maternity lines.  I just caught myself drooling over this great turtleneck from Isabella Oliver.  I absolutely love the shape which is very flattering to the pregnant body.  This tunic length top features a comfortable, loose turtleneck and faux wrap detail at the bust.  It looks chic and exceedingly comfortable all at the same time.

This would be a great look for the office, but it is also casual enough to wear with jeans.  You can purchase one for $130 at IsabellaOliver.com.  The company’s annual sale begins on December 27th.

Juicy Couture Maternity Modal Jersey Tunic

Juicy Couture Modal Jersey Tunic Maternity Shirt

Departing from the company’s signature sweats, this Modal Jersey Tunic from Juicy Couture Maternity is elegant and definitely upscale.  Designed in slimming black, this tunic features a stunning velvet neckline with gathered detail.  The sleeves are elasticized and have just the right amount of fabric to create a beautiful shape without making the wearer look puffy.  Velvet trim accents the hem.

The cut and color of this shirt make it flattering to just about any body type.  They also make it very versatile.  You can dress it down, pairing it with jeans for the day, or dress it up for evening wear.  It is available in a wide range of women’s sizes for $228 at SaksFifthAvenue.com.

Striped Cotton Hoody by Motherhood Maternity

Striped Cotton Hoody

This Striped Cotton Hoody from Motherhood Maternity is made from 100% cotton and is machine washable. Those are excellent features, but I like this maternity top because it looks stylish, young and contemporary. It’s so easy to just throw on an old tee or sweatshirt when you’re in those latter months of pregnancy. But you can look sharp in this black and cream hoody when you’re running errands about town or meeting with your child’s teacher - the style is versatile. It has my favorite sleeve length in maternity tops, 3/4 sleeves. I don’t know about other moms, but when I was very pregnant, my clothing really affected my moods. I couldn’t fuss with long sleeves whether they had buttons at the cuffs or elastic bands. I always felt the sleeve was pulling on me. But with 3/4 length, I stayed cool and comfortable.

Visit  Motherhood Maternity where you can purchase this item for just $29.98. It comes in sizes S, M, L and XL.

Short Sleeve Floral Print from Motherhood Maternity

Short Sleeve Floral Print

This Short Sleeve Floral Print from Motherhood Maternity is on sale for just $14.98. That’s a great price for maternity wear, especially for this very pretty and feminine top. It’s really important to feel “pretty” when you’re pregnant. It’s so easy during those months to become overwhelmed and over-tired. And one of the first casualties of those months can be your appearance. You don’t want to spend a lot of time and money on maternity clothes when you’re already trying to make ends meet shopping for all those baby items. But when you see an article of clothing that is attractive, made for comfort, and on sale - you should take advantage of it.

Go to Motherhood Maternity and view this item. It’s available in sizes S, M, L, and XL. Don’t miss out!

Jeans With Secret Fit Belly from Motherhood Maternity

BOOT CUT JEAN WITH THE SECRET FIT BELLY from Motherhood Maternity

I think these boot cut Jeans with the Secret Fit Belly from Motherhood Maternity are great for young (and young-minded) expectant moms. The medium wash color of the jeans and the pock embroidery make these jeans a contemporary addition to the maternity wardrobe. These jeans feature a patent pending “belly fit” that uses seamless technology which is great for that smooth look but even more appreciated for its comfort. When I was in my later months, any clothing that felt binding around my abdomen, even the sewed seams, was very irritating. Another great feature is that these stylish jeans are made from cotton/spandex stretch denim. You can look and feel comfortable and not have to sacrifice style.

Take a look at these jeans at motherhood.com where they are priced for $39.98. They are available in sizes S, M, L, and XL and in a variety of color washes.

Stitch Detail Maternity Jacket by Motherhood Maternity

Maternity Jacket

There are all kinds of looks for maternity and you should always try to dress appropriately, especially if you’re in the workforce outside your home. I like this Stitch Detail Maternity Jacket by Motherhood Maternity because it looks professional but it’s not trying to hide the fact that you’re pregnant. It shows that you’re pregnant and proud to be. This jacket has plenty of style so you’ll look and feel attractive, which is very important during the third trimester.

You can view this Maternity Jacket at Motherhood.com where it is priced at just $19.99 (sale) and is available in size S in charcoal. It is made from poly-rayon-spandex and is totally machine washable.

duo Maternity 5 Pocket Cord Pants

One thing I couldn’t find when I was pregnant was a well-fitting pair of maternity corduroy pants. These 5 Pocket Cords by duo look very comfortable and fashionable. They are bootcut pants with a mock fly and a low elastic waist for the ultimate comfort. The back pockets are embroidered for extra style.

Made of a cotton/spandex blend, these corduroys are machine washable. They are currently on sale for $17.99 (down from $40) at JCPenney.com, but are not available in JCPenney stores - only online. Since they are on sale, the sizes available range from Medium to XX-Large and Tall lengths only (34″ long).

a.n.a Maternity Shirred Turtleneck Sweater

a.n.a Maternity Shirred Turtleneck Sweater

I was disappointed to discover this weekend that our favorite out of town mall has ditched many of my favorite stores, including just about every store that sells maternity clothes!  I ended up checking out the selection at JCPenney, which otherwise wouldn’t have occurred to me.  I fell in love with this great sweater and ended up buying two of them.  Made by a.n.a, these sweaters are made from an incredibly soft blend of cotton and cashmere.  I’ve reached the point where I hate having things rubbing against my belly, so this soft fabric is perfect.

The cut of this Shirred Turtleneck sweater is very flattering–it has just the right amount of cling/shape.  You won’t look like a tent, but it has enough fabric to cover your belly well, and it isn’t irritatingly tight.  The deep colors are perfect for the season.  I bought the green and red, but now I’m wishing I had gotten then black and grey as well.  Best of all, these sweaters are currently on sale.  You can purchase one for $24.95 at jcpenney.com.

Chiarakruza Dallas Maternity Top

This great top from Chiarakruza Maternity is hugely versatile and would make a great addition to any maternity wardrobe.  It is available in a number of fun colors.  Brooke Shields was photographed in the black version of this Dallas top during her last pregnancy, and Tori Spelling (above) was recently seen sporting the pink version.

This top is made of rayon, which is very silky and hangs beautifully.  Its design is simple enough that you can wear it with jeans, but dressy enough that you can pair it with slacks and wear it to the office.  The top also has a forgiving fit that makes it perfect for transition wear after you give birth.  It is machine washable and comes in a number of sizes.  You can purchase one for $88 at duematernity.com.

Plus Holiday Sweater

Plus Holiday Sweater

I saw an ad for maternity wear by Motherhood.com in a Parent Magazine and visited their site. I was really pleased with the wide variety of fun and attractive maternity clothes that were available. This pretty red Plus Holiday Sweater is an example of what is available at Motherhood.com. The snowflake design makes this a festive sweater for the holidays. The style is all about comfort for the expectant mom, not too thick (hot flashes) and not too tight (constricting) around your stomach.

This holiday sweater is priced at $39.98 and is available in sizes 1X, 2X, AND 3X. Order yours now or for the expectant mom in your life.
