Currently, they’re on sale for half price, at just $18.50 for this cutie. You can view all of the styles at PoppaAndI.com.

Fauna Infant Sea Turtle Tee

Fauna Infant Sea Turtle Tee

Sea turtles sure are fascinating, and this tee shirt from Fauna captures their appeal. It features a sepia-colored print of a turtle gliding across its front. This one will definitely please animal lovers. It will look great on its own, or layered over a solid colored tee. It is available in infant sizes and retails for $38. Tulip Fairy Infant/Toddler Costume

Tulip Fairy Infant/Toddler Costume

Here is a fun costume for little girls who love to get all dressed up. Designed to fit toddlers up to 24 months, this fairy costume includes a shimmering dress, matching booties, and a fancy headpiece and wings. This is the kind of thing that my middle daughter would want to wear for dress up throughout the year. You can purchase one for $24.99 at HalloweenExpress.com. The only downside to this one is that it may not work so well in cooler weather.

Morgan & Milo Infant Avril Mary Janes

Morgan & Milo Infant Avril Mary Janes

I just bought these great Morgan & Milo Infant Avril Mary Janes for my three year old. I love the mix of feminine and sporty–a ditsy floral print is paired with a flexible rubber outsole. I’ve gotten spoiled having my daughter in easy to get on and off Crocs all summer, but I’m hoping that these shoes will be an easy transition because of the Mary Jane style and the Velcro closure. Best of all, I got a great price–$24.99 at SweetSoles.com. Check out their other great clearance prices as well. If you buy 4 or more pairs of shoes, you’ll get an additional $2 off each pair. I’m a little worried that the floral print will make these shoes hard to match with clothes, but we have a lot of pink to work with.

Infant Chiropractic Care

Infant Chiropractic Care

I grew up in a family that didn’t exactly embrace chiropractic care. I turned to it in desperation when my middle daughter was suffering from horrible ear infections. Soon I was going multiple times a week myself. I definitely notice a difference, and I credit it with working wonders when I’m running a ton. So, when my newest baby was born, I started taking her with me. I really credit it with alleviating her colic. I thought she would freak out about it, but our chiropractor is wonderful with her, and she rarely fusses about it. While I see chiropractic as a supplement to mainstream medicine rather than a  replacement for it, I definitely recommend it to new parents. It has a reputation with some as being a quack form of medicine, but I truly believe it has worked for us. You can read an interesting article about infant chiropractic care at chirotips.com and find a local practitioner at chiroappointment.com.

Pink and White Skull Infant Pom Pom Hat

Pink and White Skull Infant Pom Pom Hat

Got a bit of a punk side? No problem with PunkBabyClothes.net; they’ve got onesies, dresses, one piece sleepers, pants, hats, and it’s all got punk logos, skulls, fun sayings—you name it, you’ll find it. The coolest piece? The Pink and White Skull Infant Pom Pom Hat. By far, something I’d love to put on any little girl baby. How could she not get attention wearing this?  It’s yours for $17 but just try to resist all the other fantastic gear on this site. It’s like that chip commercial–you can’t have just one! …And you surely can’t pick just one thing.

Blue Flames Adjustable Bib by heartnsewdesigns

blue-flames

I really like this handmade Blue Flames Adjustable Bib by etsy seller heartnsewdesigns. The fact that it’s adjustable is great, as it will fit infants and will grow with them as they grow into toddlers. It’s a larger bib as well, measuring 14″ long, 10″ wide, with a 6″ wide neck opening. The style of this one is nice too, especially for boys. It’s not the same old cowboys or sports themes you often see on boys’ bibs. Each bib by heartnsewdesigns is made of 100% cotton and cotton flannel, and is stitched on the inside with a top stitch for extra durability. You can view all of the unique styles available at heartnswedesigns, where this Blue Flames bib sells for $5.

Kissy Kissy Infant Bubble Romper

I’m a sucker for a cute romper, and this one from Kissy Kissy definitely fits the bill. Made from soft pima cotton, it is sure to keep your little girl cool and happy this summer. I love the delicate pattern of purple roses, and the flutter sleeves add and extra feminine touch. It snaps through the legs for easy diaper changes, and snaps in the back make it easier to get on and off. I wish pale pink looked better on my little one, because I so like this sweet little outfit. It is available in 0-3 and 3-6 month sizes. You can purchase one for $32.00 at Nordstrom.com.

Urban Infant Boy Polo/Bermuda Set by Catimini

No Cost Infant Eye Exams

No Cost Infant Eye Exams

My ten year old and I went for eye exams today. We saw a different doctor than usual. She was asking about our family and when I mentioned we have a new baby, she told me the office offers free eye exams to any baby under 12 months. The idea is to promote early-detection of eye problems so that they can be corrected before a child begins to struggle. She said the ideal age for this exam is 9 months. The program is part of a national initiative and has nothing to do with income. While our medical insurance covers eye exams, I never realized my little one could benefit from one. I’ll definitely take her now. If you are interested in the importance of early exams, or how to get one at no cost, read more about the InfantSee program at http://www.infantsee.org/

Juicy Couture Ruffled Infant Swimsuit

While shopping for swimwear, I came across this cute little suit from Juicy Couture. Available in sizes from 3-6 up to 18-24 months, this bathing suit features adjustable shoulder straps that can either be criss-crossed or worn straight. This is a great feature if your daughter has trouble keeping her suit up! The biggest draw, however, is the eye-catching flower petal ruffles that trim the suit’s top. My toddler had a similar suit a few years ago. It looked a little silly, but it was very cute nonetheless. You can purchase one of these suits for $68 at Nordstrom.com.

Livvy Sue Infant Kimono Top

Livvy Sue is an etsy boutique offering a number of sweet, handmade products for infants. I was immediately drawn to their kimono tops. My children have lived in kimono tops in the early weeks because they are so easy to get on and off. Livvy Sue’s offer all of the ease of kimono styling.

They are made from 100% cotton to be gentle to delicate newborn skin. They fasten with bows on the inside and out to keep them closed and in place on your baby. I love the striking fabric choices. Any baby would look great in one of these, whether paired with a pair of soft knit pants, or in warmer weather, a diaper cover. These tops are available in either 0-6 or 6-12 month sizes, and comes with a matching pair of fabric infant shoes. You can purchase a kimono for $19 and a kimono + shoes set for $29 at  livvysue.etsy.com.  It would make a unique baby gift.

[Update]  Livvy Sue is offering a special discount to Upscale Baby readers.  Use the discount code UBB for 10% off + free shipping on orders over $20.

Goody Goody Infant Camellia Slippers

Goody Goody Infant Camellia Slippers

These infant slippers from Goody Goody have to be one of the cutest pairs of baby shoes that I have ever encountered. Unique and modern, these little slippers fit shoe size 2-4. I love the bold design which includes a gorgeous red flower on the toe. The slippers are made by hand from silk, velvet, and suede. They feature an elasticized ankle to keep them on little feet. Corduroy insoles add comfort and a non-skid suede sole makes them safe. While it might be a little difficult to find outfits that can stand up to these bold shoes, they are definitely as sweet as can be. You can purchase a pair for $32 at BestDressedKids.coom. These would make a wonderful and unique gift. Other styles are available as well.
