Haba Bracelet Baronesse

Haba Bracelet Baronesse

I find Haba’s hair and jewelry collection to be amazingly affordable. I bought several pieces as stocking stuffers for my older two daughters this year. I quite like this Bracelet Baronesse which features red roses on a green band. The color contrast is really striking. Kids can wear this when playing dress-up, or use itto bring a touch of color to a favorite outfit. Best of all, it is only $2.69. You can purchase one for your little one at moolka.com.

Haba Little Luck Hair Clip

Haba Little Luck Hair Clip

I’m hoping to reign in my preschooler’s crazy hair by stuffing her stocking with some fun Haba hair clips. I particularly like this fun clip with its sweet little mushrooms. It is also very affordable at just $3.59 at moolka.com. I recommend buying pieces like this in tandem with larger purchases so you can qualify for free shipping. Otherwise, you’ll more than double the price by the time it ships. Luckily, these clips are usually sold where you buy Haba toys, so it is easy to make a purchase that qualifies for free shipping ($60 at Moolka.com).

Holiday Gift Guide: Doctor Kit by Haba

Doctor Kit by Haba

I bought this doctor kit from Haba for my middle daughter for Christmas. This is a far cry from the plastic kit I had as a child. While I had tons of fun with that set, this one is vastly improved. It includes a prescription pad, a medicine tube, ointment, a thermometer, bandages and more. I can’t wait to see the fun we’ll have with this toy. It is perfect for the make believe games that preschoolers love to play. You can purchase one for $31.90 at threesisterstoys.com.

Haba Mouse Meadow Mug

Haba Mouse Meadow Mug

I remember receiving a mug of my own for Christmas one year as a small child and feeling especially grown up and important. I still have that mug somewhere, too. So far, my older daughter has been less than impressed when similarly gifted, but I hold out hope for my other two. I’m thinking about this cute little mouse mug for my soon-to-be four-year-old. I’m always impressed by Haba’s quality, and the design on this mug is as sweet as can be. I’m confident it will be a hit. You can purchase one of these child-sized mugs for $8.99 at oompa.com .

There’s a buggy, a driver, and 6 building blocks in various shapes and vivid primary colors that will send your child’s imagination soaring. Corsario Desk Raft from Haba

Corsario Desk Raft from Haba

We’ve been back to school for almost two weeks now. Apart from an unfortunate incident in which the new school principal mistook my poor fifth-grader for a first grader, it has been smooth sailing. I am enjoying settling back into the routine, but I am suffering withdrawals from school supply shopping. It all went by too quickly for me to enjoy it this year. Perhaps that’s why I still find myself browsing these things online! A recent discovery is this great “Desk Raft” from Haba. I’m partial to anything Haba, but this is extraordinary. Even my 10-year old girl would love this fun desk accessory. I think it would be a great way to make homework time fun. Everything is perfectly coordinated to the pirate theme, and there’s plenty of room to add your own accessories. You can purchase one of these for $32.99 at oompa.com. While it is a bit pricey, if you think about it as a great way to lure in a reluctant writer or homeworker-completer, it may be well worth its weight in gold.

HABA Dreamland Rug

HABA Dreamland Rug

Bring some fun to a bedroom or playroom with this great HABA Dreamland Rug. Made of 100% wool with textile backing, this plush rug will keep feet toasty on cold days. It also doubles as a playmat. It would be perfect for the HABA Traum Reise toy shown in the picture (a favorite in our home). This rug measures 56.55″ x 40.95″. You can purchase one for $179.99 (on sale from $200) at blueberryforest.com.

Here’s a great travel option for kids on the go. The Terra Kids Wash Bag from Haba is perfect for toting a child’s toiletries. It features mesh pockets to keep items organized, while air holes help everything dry. A fun carabiner on the bag’s exterior keeps keys safe. This bag looks great, and will no doubt be appreciated by little explorers everywhere. Designed by Matthias Bock, it can be purchased for $25.99 at  oompa.com.

HABA Malena Flowers Necklace

HABA Malena Flowers Necklace

Toys and jewelry from Haba are favorites at our house. My middle daughter just inhertited some of my oldest’s jewelry collection, and I am enjoying seeing these pieces again. Everything is unique in appearance and very well-made. As I was browsing online recently, I came upon this great Malena Flowers necklace from the company. This attractive piece is mature enough that my ten year old would likely still wear it (I might even be tempted). It is made up of red and orange beaded flowers and green “vine” beads.” This will definitely add a special touch to any outfit. It is fun for dress up play, too. You can purchase one on sale for $12.95 (marked down from $19.95) at BlueberryForest.com.

Haba Swinging Solemio Tent

Haba Swinging Solemio Tent

I’m cursed with incredibly bad motion sickness, so I can’t fully enjoy swings of any kind, but that doesn’t stop me from noticing how incredible this Haba Swinging Solemio Tent looks. We love Haba toys at our house, but we don’t have any that are quite this impressive.  Imagine the fun that kids will have curling up in this tent alone or with a friend/sibling. This swinging tent has mesh windows so little ones can keep an eye on the world outside as they swing in this cozy tent. It can hold up to 176 pounds, so you can fit all your children inside. I think this would bring hours of fun. Finding a place to mount it doesn’t sound particularly appealing to me, however. You can purchase one of these luxury toys for $350 at babygeared.com.

HABA - Little Garden Pegging Toy

HABA - Little Garden Pegging Toy

Here’s a Haba toy that I haven’t seen before–a fun garden-themed pegging set. Made to help your little one with fine motor development, it features bright and appealing beechwood pieces painted like flowers and butterflies. I’ve yet to meet a toy from this company that I didn’t enjoy. You pay more, but the quality makes it well worth it. We’ll be able to pass all of our Habas down to our youngest, and they’ll still have life in them when she outgrows them. You can purchase the set on sale for $44.95 at oliebollen.com. It is recommended for children ages 2 and up.

Sun Castle Soft Baby Playset from Haba

Sun Castle Soft Baby Playset from Haba

I love just about anything from Haba. I’ve been delighted to see our baby start to fall in love with the toys my three year old has started to outgrow. Although at 5 months she’s obviously too young to enjoy the imaginative play aspects of the Sun Castle, for some reason she loves to chew on the dragon and his floppy tail. I’m sure she’ll enjoy making believe with this set as she gets older, too. I would highly recommend to to anyone. We have a whole Haba kingdom and it was well worth the money invested. You can purchase this set for $49.99 at oompa.com. We also have the similar Dragonstone Castle and love it too.

Knight’s Room Tent by Haba

Knight’s Room Tent by Haba

Let your child’s imagination run wild with this indoor canopy style tent by Haba. Transform any bedroom or playroom into a medieval knight’s castle, complete with royal flag and adorned with fleur de lis, detailed door ties and mesh windows. I especially like the strong vibrant colors that would brighten up any room. This would provide hours of magical fun for any child. It’s something that can grow with them, too. It hangs from the ceiling with an i-bolt or hook and has an upholstered padded floor mat for comfort and safety.

As with all Haba items, the Knight’s Room Tent is great quality,  the tent using sturdy, well-made fabric draped over a wire frame. It is recommended for ages 3 and up, but my 2 year old has played in a similar one and had the time of his life. This one is on sale for $126.00 (down from $180.00) at modmama.com

Little Amsterdam by Haba

These German made blocks from Haba can fulfill any child’s need to build their very own town and is guaranteed to bring out their creativity. Little Amsterdam is possibly the first toy that I have spent hours playing with myself. There is something deeply satisfying about making your own town. With all the products on the market today I am pleased that my son loves to play with these wooden blocks the most and that sometimes the simplest things can bring the most pleasure.

This is an extremely well made high quality set of 166 pieces which include bridges, trees, people and cars to create your own little Amsterdam. It might be more expensive than other block sets, but this is an item that will last a long time. You really are paying for great craftsmanship.

Recommended for ages 3 and up, you can purchase Little Amsterdam by Haba at oompa.com for $74.99

Counting Blocks by Haba

Counting Blocks by Haba

I tutor children in math. One of the most important concepts for them to learn is the mechanics of counting, which leads right into multiplication. Visual and tactile aids add so much to their understanding of mathematical concepts. These Counting Blocks by Haba are a perfect tool for helping your child with her math homework. It’s much better than counting fingers.Visit KangarooBoo.com to view and purchase this item, priced at $38.99.
