I need some orange tights for under my baby’s peacock costume, so I think I’m going to use that as an excuse to go check out what’s on sale. Usually I find that the options for girls’ clothing at Gymboree are far better than the boys’ choices. When it comes to Halloween costumes, however, the opposite always seems to be true. While I’m not terribly excited by the princess and fairy costumes that abound on the site, I quite like this dinosaur costume. Available in sizes from 6-12 months up to 4T/5T it is mostly sweet with just a little bit of fierce thrown in. I was browsing Gymboree recently, and this fun blanket caught my attention. It features a sweet little pair of a hippo and birdie in one corner of a rose background, and reverses to a bright floral print. Right now, my toddler is using some of them as doll blankets, so I guess they outlive the baby years. If you’ve been hoarding Gymbucks, it’s time to cash them in. This is the first time I’ve had any in quite a while. I had almost forgotten about them. The problem with my past Gymboree addiction is that even the new girls’ lines look like clothes we already own. So, I decided to browse the boys’ side of the store for a change. This cute whale hoodie immediately caught my attention. I always have a soft spot for whale prints because they remind me of my childhood in the 80s. Do you remember the shoelaces with little whales printed on them? That is what I immediately thought of when I saw this hoodie. Gymboree.com is a nice clean site. It is easy to navigate, has tons of options for clothes and toys, and has some pretty great deals. They carry some very rugged looks for little guys and pretty apparel for girls. I personally like the sense of humor displayed in some of the looks. For example, the Polar Bear Boxer Brief is adorable and very festive. It’s perfect for a toilet training little one, giving him incentive to be “just like dad” in boxer briefs but still maintaining that little boy charm with the cute polar bear print. If you are starting to get in the mood for holiday shopping, you may want to check out some of the new Gymboree lines that are arriving online and in stores.  Just when I thought I was getting bored with Gymboree (with all girls, things are starting to repeat a bit), I find something new and unexpected.  I really like this Scottie Dog Sweater Dress.  I am seeing a lot of sweater dresses in fall lines from other designers, too, and it is definitely a trend that I like.
