The Gucci Baby Carrier, a favorite of celebrity parents such as Gwen Stefani (above), is shaped to snugly fit baby’s body (up to 20lbs). It has adjustable shoulder straps and comes in the signatory beige/ebony GG fabric with dark brown or white leather trim.
This is a bit extravagant for the casual buyer, but if you have the means, you can purchase this item, priced at $850.00 at Gucci.com.

I am quite taken with these funky little Geoambtric sneakers from Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B line. The styling is reminiscent of old school skater shoes, with a modern twist, and lamb logo adds a sweet touch. The Velcro closure is cleverly concealed, so the shoe is easy to get on and off, while retaining the look of a slip-on. I think these would look great with a funky t-shirt or hoodie and some cargo shorts. Any kid would look cool in a pair of these.
The Geoambtric sneakers are made of leather with a rubber sole. They are available in toddler sizes from 5-10. You can purchase a pair of these sneakers by LAMB for $60 at milkshop.com.

Little Suri Cruise and Kingston Rosdale (Gwen Stefani’s kid) are already little fashionistas. These mini trends setters have been spotted hanging out and sporting baby Burberry attire. Suri was seen in the arms of her daddy wearing a cute little cotton pleated dress with a wide skirt, gunflaps and 2 patch pockets; it goes for $180.00. Kingston, also with his daddy, was rockin’ a cotton, long-sleeve button-down shirt in the house check design; goes for around $85.00. You can check out these designer items at burberry.com.

Dwell Studio’s eye-catching designs have already won over many celebrity parents such as Gwen Stefani and Soleil Moon Frye, and have been featured in a number of parenting magazines. I love the simplicity of the Animals crib set. As the mother of two girls, with the sex of baby number three yet to be determined, I’m glad to know that there are some fun and aesthetically-pleasing products out there for boys. The set includes a fitted sheet, one play blanket, a bumper, and a crib skirt. Additional coordinating accessories and toys are also available. It is understated and yet very, very hip. You can purchase this set (or one of the company’s many other innovative designs) for $456 at dwellstudio.com.

I consider myself to be a pretty serious distance/marathon runner. Luckily, I am able to log most of my miles without children in tow. Sometimes, however, it is necessary to bring my toddler along. All I can say is that on these occasions I am so grateful for my Baby Jogger and its 20 inch wheels! Since my first daughter was born more than nine years ago, I have had three jogging strollers, and this is definitely my favorite. I will never buy another brand. It is very light an easy to run with, and the giant wheels make it easy to navigate curbs without too much hassle. A clear “window” built into the canopy keeps your little one in site at all times. The ease of use is no doubt contributed to the popularity of this brand of stroller with celebrity moms and dads. Jennifer Garner, Gwen Stefani, Brooke Shields, and Michelle Williams are just a few of the parents who have been spotted with them. You can buy one for $399.99 at www.joggingstroller.com.

I am loving the flowing maxi dresses pregnant celebs are wearing recently. Seen on both Jessica Alba and Gwen Stefani, bold prints and sweeping skirts seem to be what’s hot in maternity. Though Gwen’s most talked about dress was Diane Von Furstenberg’s Silk Maxi Dress (buy it at bloomingdales.com), I found a Victoria’s Secret bra top maxi dress in a shade of green I’m sure most women could easily wear. If not, it’s available in black.
Though it is not a maternity dress, neither is Gwen’s maxi, and these flowing dresses appear to leave room to grow a sizeable belly. Simple but pretty, and easy to accessorize, this Victoria’s Secret dress is made of cotton/modal/spandex and has a built-in shelf bra, all with a price of $98. You can find yours, and dare to move away from traditional maternity wear, at victoriassecret.com.

Birth announcements from tiny prints are all the rage with celebrity parents these days. Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tori Spelling, and Ming-Na are just a few of the stars who have called upon this high end stationery company to produce memorable birth announcements. They are definitely very sweet, and come in a number of styles to suit anyone’s tastes. All of their announcements are customized with the photo(s) and information that you want to include. Most announcements range from $2-$3 each. You can customize your own announcements at tinyprints.com.

After Gwen Stefani’s son was born, she was frequently seen out and about with him in one of these baby carriers from Gucci. While the benefits of babywearing are enormous (for both parent and baby), this is one splurge that I just don’t get. At $850, this carrier is far more expensive than others on the market. To me, it looks like a glorified baby Bjorn, with leather straps that have to be buckled. I can’t imagine the logistics of trying to get a baby in and out of this thing, although perhaps it is easier than it appears. If you are a Gucci fanatic, and price is no object, you can pick one up in either brown or black at saksfifthavenue.com.

Nursing covers have come a long way since I had my first daughter. My simple chambray nursing canopy from back then looks so old fashioned next to all of the fun nursing covers on the market today. One of the most fashionable and popular nursing covers out there is from Bebe Au Lait (the same company also makes the equally popular Hooter Hiders covers). Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow, Liv Tyler, and Julia Roberts all own Bebe Au Lait products. The fabrics are so stunning that it is hard to pick a favorite; organic fabrics are available as well. Of course, the downside if you are nervous to nurse in public is that you will get a lot of attention as you sport one of these stunning covers. I never had a lot of luck getting either of my daughters to nurse under a cover, but I know many women who do. If you and your little one are so inclined, you can buy one for $35 at bebeaulait.com.

Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Garner, Tori Spelling, and Tiger Woods are just a few of the celebrities who have purchased SkidPants for their little ones. These adorable legwarmers, made by Dittany Baby, are designed to protect a baby’s delicate legs from rug burn as she learns to crawl. SkidPants are as fun as they are practical, with numerous designs to choose from including hearts, dots, numerous argyles and stripes, and even a skull and crossbones print. College sports fans will also enjoy the Collegiate Collection which features the logos of numerous college teams. SkidPants can be worn alone or under pants or dresses for an added layer of warmth and protection for newly-mobile babies. They are 80% cotton and 20% Spandex. Anyone who has tried to take a toddler out to eat knows that it presents many challenges, even on a good day. My friend and I like to joke that we are likely blacklisted from several local eateries after some less than enjoyable evenings out with our kids. I have tried almost everything imaginable to keep my little one happy in restaurants, with varying degrees of success. I’m therefore curious about a product that I discovered recently. The Sam and Bellie Chalk Mat (available at samandbellie.com) is a cute fabric placemat on one side and a chalkboard on the other. It rolls up neatly and can be tucked away in a diaper bag. It comes as no surprise that celebrities such as Gwen Stefani and Vanessa Williams have been attracted to these cheerful mats. I’m planning to order one because even if it can’t keep my toddler entertained in a restaurant, it is awfully cute. It definitely seems worth the price. The original retail was $25, but they seem to be on sale at the moment, with prices ranging from $11.99-$19.99 depending on the pattern.
