Juicy Couture Pony Show Puffer Parka

Juicy Couture Pony Show Puffer Parka

It is starting to get a bit chilly in the mornings where we live.  It will only be a matter of time until we all need our winter coats.  If you are still looking for something to keep your little girl toasty this winter, check out this Pony Show Puffer Parka from Juicy Couture.

Available in toddler sizes, this coat adds some fun touches to the traditional puffer style, like faux-fur trim and cute flared sleeves.  Zippered front pockets keep your little one’s treasures safe. This parka is machine washable, and the hood is removable.  Your child will be as fashionable as she is toasty in this cute little coat.

You can purchase one for $148 at milkshop.com.

Holiday Fur Real Friends Smores Pony

Fur Real Friends Smores Pony

I had to smile when I saw that this is one of the hot toys for this holiday season.  Two years ago, I was madly racing around trying to buy its predecessor, Butterscotch, for my then 7 year old.  It was a huge ordeal, but I finally found one for only slightly over retail online.  While this toy has been fun, I’m not sure that it was worth all of the hype or expense.

It is a great “wow” gift for a horse fanatic, which my daughter, admittedly, is not.  The toy is very realistic, making eating and walking sounds, and wiggling its ears.  I could never figure out whether it was charming or a bit creepy that, if left on, she would “neigh” at us when we arrived home and opened the front door.  One fun story that this toy produced at our house was that an adult friend of mine was completely freaked out by it and begged me to turn it off!

In the end, I’m a bit ambivalent about this toy.  My daughter still enjoys showing it off, but she doesn’t really play with it.  My toddler hasn’t really taken notice of it yet.  After two years, she still works, but her tail has fallen off.

I think in the end, a lot depends on the child. If you want to bring this pony home for an extra special holiday, you can purchase one for $279.99 at toysrus.com.  One small warning: there is a giant picture of the horse on the box it ships in.  I had been telling my daughter there was no way she could have one for Christmas because they were sold out everywhere.  I wanted it to be a huge surprise.  Unfortunately, the delivery guy left it on our back deck with the photo facing in and, although to this day she denies it, I think my daughter saw it.  So much for our big surprise!

Gymboree Faux Fur Holiday Jacket

gymboree faux fur holiday jacket

This cute little jacket from Gymboree’s new Holiday Pictures line is sure to add a little extra style to your holidays this year.  Made from super soft faux fur, this coat features a peter pan collar, pearlized buttons, and pleating.

Although I’d worry a bit about keeping it clean, this jacket looks great, and little ones will love to wear it because it is so soft and fluffy.  Fortunately, it is also machine washable.  You can purchase one for $39.95 at gymboree.com.  It is available in sizes from 6-12 months to 5T.

Zaza Couture Geneva Fur Top Hat

Zaza Couture Geneva Fur Top Hat

Here’s a great little hat that is sure to put a smile on your face every time that your little one wears it. The Zaza Couture Geneva Fur Top Hat is available in infancy, toddler, or youth sizes, this hat is a fun blend of colors and textures.  The polka-dot print is eye-catching on its own, but the faux fur trim is what really makes this hat special.  It is perfect for fall and winter wear.

You can buy one of these hats for $24 at bestdressedkids.com.  The site is currently accepting pre-orders, with the line expected to ship by mid fall.

Pedoodles: the Outback Boot

Made with genuine leather, Pedflex flat rubber soles for traction, zippered sides, and cute to boot, the Pedoodles Outback Boots fit sizes 12-18 months right up to 4 years of age. I’m especially drawn to the attractive colors and the gecko running down the side. I think they’d work on either boys or girls without being limited to either one. I would dress a child in the boots, khakis, and a green shirt with similar hued hat and pack the camera for the hike! The Outback Boots sound comfortable to me, as they’re lined with leopard fur (faux, of course) and designed to be breathable. The price is a do-able, especially for avid hikers and wanderers, $44.99 and the site to find ’em on is babyplanetboutique.com.
