If you’re looking for the ultimate blanket, look no further. Barefoot Dreams has a line of blankets that both you and your baby will find heavenly. When I first got the receiving blanket, I thought for sure it was too good to be true; it was ultra soft and warm, but still breathable and light.
With its seemingly delicate knit fabric, I knew that running it through the wash would prove just how well made this blanket was, and to my delight I found that wash after wash, the blanket retained its shape and texture. I have the adult-size blanket as well, and wrapping myself in the luxurious chocolate-colored warmth almost became an addiction for the first few weeks.
The blankets along with other Barefoot Dreams products have no shortage of celebrity endorsements and sightings. Angelina Jolie, Marcia Cross, Ellen Degeneres, and Denise Richardson are just a few of the big names that have been tied to the Barefoot Dreams line, which you can check out at barefootdreams.com.
While the photographs convey a sense of how soft the blankets are, I suggest you to head to the nearest Nordstrom’s and touch one fore yourself…and I dare you to touch it just once.

The Kate Collection by Serena and Lily is understated but still fashionable with its soft but bold prints and complementary colors. As seen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, this bedding set comes with bumper, bed skirt, and fitted sheet for $539.00. Coordinating paint colors are available on the www.serenaandlily.com site, along with lamps, gliders, and nursery furniture. Everything one could need is chosen and ready to be set up in baby’s nursery. I think that the collection creates a Zen feeling, as rocking baby in the matching glider while gazing at the lovely Kate Collection could be very peaceful for both baby and parent. Though the Kate Collection is slated toward girls, the bumper and some of the other pieces could easily be purchased separately and fitted into a boy’s nursery. For high end, luxury baby bedding and accessories, look no further, because Serena and Lily collections deliver nothing less.

It’s no wonder Storksak diaper bags are rising in popularity with stars like Jessica Alba admitting to owning them and an entire Ellen DeGeneres audience receiving them in sophisticated brown leather. While there are subtle bags available, in styles that resemble purses and messenger bags more than they do traditional diaper bags, moms with more eclectic or bold styles won’t be disappointed by the collection. While the Storksak Mia Gold bag is a bit flashy for me, it caught my eye as I browsed the collection. I can picture fashionable mommies throwing it over their shoulders while dressed to the nines and headed out on the town or to holiday parties (with baby dressed in matching sparkly dress.) It comes fully equipped with insulated pockets (for bottles and the like), change pad, key ring clip, a removable inner zip bag, and a spot for a cell phone. There are other great features as well, like compartments for all the things one might need while on the go. With a height of 10.5 inches, depth of 5 inches, and width of 16.5 inches, there should be enough room for all your baby-changing needs. Originally $198.00, but with sales as low as $119.00, let the bag buying begin at www.storksak.net!

The Quinny Buzz stroller is an attractive contraption, I’ll give it that, but for a price of around $549.00 at www.amazon.com, I’m not sure it’s worth it. As featured on The Ellen Degeneres Show, it has a pretty outstanding folding system and looks as though it will fit inside a car trunk quite easily. I liked the idea of being able to face baby forward or backward. For those first few months, it’s nice to be able to face baby toward you while pushing your stroller, and later on, little ones like to see the world facing forward. With a height adjustable handle and canopy, shopping basket, bug net, wind stopper and rain shield all included, it is a convenient alternative to most strollers on today’s market. It’s even compatible with Quinny’s other baby items, like the bassinet and Maxi-Cosi car seat and comes in many attractive colors. See its features at www.quinny.com.

Bouncers have been a lifesaver in my house. When my youngest was a baby, we had one on every floor. The problem is that all of them were ugly as sin. I hate having loud farm animal prints in the living room. So, when I recently came across the Svan bouncer, I was awestruck. With baby number three on the way, I’m thinking that maybe it is time to trade those ugly bouncers in for this sleekly designed seat. Apparently, I’m not the only one who is crazy about the look of this bouncer. It has been featured on the Ellen DeGeneres show, where Marcia Cross talked about using them for her twins, and Tyra Banks recently gifted mom-to-be Jessica Alba with one. They are made out of birch bentwood and come in a wide variety of color combinations. You can buy one for $119.95 at www.store.babycenter.com — in all, not a bad price to pay to get the farm animals out of the living room!
