As much as I love wooden toys and wish we’d gone that route with our boys instead of allowing all kinds of plastic, bleeping, flashing toys into our house, I do have to admit that some of them just don’t attract interest in babies. As cute as it is with its bright colors, soft ears, and happy face, we have a vintage pull along dog much like the Selecta Nico Dog Wooden Pull Toy and my older son as a baby was unwilling to play with it. Perhaps my younger son will take an interest in it; I have yet to let him try out our vintage collection. I always loved the Harry the Dog books when I was a child and have enjoyed introducing them to my children. This little dog from the Kushies Kritters line has become a big hit in our house.  It was earmarked for the baby we are expecting, but my two year old saw it while she was sick and kept asking for “my doggy.”  I couldn’t resist her, and she has been clutching it for the past twenty-four hours.

I can certainly understand why she was drawn to this little toy/blanket.  Dobbi is ultra soft and very, very cute.  He seems to be doing a great job of comforting my little one through the misery of an ear infection.

The blanket part of the toy is made from plush velboa and trimmed with satin edging.  I would love to have a blanket this soft myself.  It measures approximately 20″ square.  It is fully machine washable.
