Papa Products has introduced 1Z, a baby carrier cover designed to fit over leading brands of baby carriers. It’s a neat way to customize your baby carrier to fit your personality. The 1Z also protects your baby carrier from baby drool or spit-up, and is machine washable. The 1Z is patent pending. Right now, three styles are available for purchase on mbeans.com: Basic, Peace Sign, or 09 Imprint, priced from $24.99 to $29.99.

The Babbaco Beep Beep Snuggle Fleece Car Seat Cover made me smile the moment I spotted it at BellyDanceBaby.com. It is not only sure to make people feel happy (and ask questions) but it is handy as well, as it is equipped with pockets for diapers, keys, wallets, etc. The Babbaco folks had convenience and fun in mind with this design. However, I wouldn’t say they had economy in mind, as the price tag is a hefty $89. I’ve seen entire car seats for sale at that price before! However, designer doesn’t come cheap. If you’ve got the budget, why not have fun with your infant car seat?

Now that my baby has moved up from an infant car seat to a convertible model, I’m sorely missing the shopping cart cover that I had last time around and seem to have loaned out to a friend. Although I have several relatively easy to use baby carriers, if I’m just running into the store for a quick trip it is so much easier to be able to safely put her in the cart without worrying about germs.
I have been admiring this great cover from Ritzy Sitzy. I love their creamsicle print which is pleasing to the eye and also looks very soft and comfy. It is completely machine washable, so you can destroy any germs it picks up when you are out and about. If I can’t track down my old cover, I may have to purchase this one! It retails for $68 and can be purchased at TheFrogAndThePrincess.com.

I’ve mentioned before how tough it can be to find Christening gifts for babies. However, there’s a whole line of things appropriate for the blessed little one at SpiffyBaby.com. I favor Baby’s First Bible in Cotton Eyelet Cover. Made by Elegant Baby, it comes in a gift box, which is perfect for those of us who have two left hands when it comes to wrapping, and can be a keepsake for a child’s lifetime.
Done with care, the Bible itself is just as pretty as the eyelet cover and handy for Sunday service to boot. For a great price of $15.95, the 5.5 x 3” Bible and cover make a Christening gift that won’t soon be forgotten.

I never liked putting my baby down on the floor without some kind of covering. Even if the floor was carpeted, I just didn’t like the idea that my baby was crawling in the same area on which others are walking. I usually put down a clean sheet and pillows or a blanket from their crib. I like this quilted micro-suede Kensington Play Mat for its generous padding and because it’s made specifically for your child to play on.
Each mat is machine washable and comes with a cinch-tie bag for carrying. You can also have your baby’s play mat personalized in a variety of embroidery fonts and colors. Visit PoshTots.com to view this product, priced at $180.

The Organic Bumper Pad Cover by Pure Beginnings is a good way to keep your baby’s crib fresh and clean. This organic cotton cover is machine washable for eash care. I used to throw all of my children’s bedding into the dryer every night just to be sure they were dust free, smelled great, and were toasty warm. With these washable covers you can get the same effect for your baby’s safe, sound, sleep.
All beddings from Pure Beginnings are handmade, so allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. You can purchase the Organic Bumper Pad Cover by Pure Beginnings for $95.99 at Purebeginnings.com.

From the name of this item I thought the Kid Kushion Gummi Crib Rail Cover was made from Gummi Bears! But no, Gummi refers to your baby’s “gums” and the teething urge they have to “gum” everything they can get their hands on. I can just see my children at that age, standing in their cribs, holding on to the rail and chewing on the hard plastic or wooden material. They’re just doing what comes natural and is soothing to them, so this product is a real help!
The Kid Kushion Gummi Crib Rail is non-toxic, non-vinyl, and non-phthalate so you can relax when you see them massaging their little gums. The crib rail cover is 50″ long and can be trimmed to fit fat rails, skinny rails, round or square rails.
Price: $12.99 at RightStart.com.

I liked having a plastic cover for my son’s soothers (while he still used them) and having something a little more durable, brightly colored for easy locating, and easily attachable to diaper bags and buggies like this Pacifier Pocket by Skip Hop would please me as well.
I look at it and envision no more digging through purses and diaper bags trying to locate a soother. I have a Skip Hop diaper bag and I like the simple elegance of their products. Nothing over the top or frou-frou; they’re just fully equipped for mom and baby’s needs. Unfortunately, the product description mentions nothing of colors other than red.
The pocket’s completely affordable at $9.50 from littlebundles.ca.

Neither of my daughters has ever wanted anything to do with a nursing cover/canopy. I’ve just gotten used to nursing discretely without one. I will say that I was intrigued by this nursing hat by MoBoleez.
The idea is that the wide brim of the hat provides privacy for nursing without covering the baby’s face. It also helps block distracting lights and noises that can interrupt the baby or cause her to painfully jerk her head around while nursing.
I’m not sure that my kids would have tolerated the hat entirely, but in some ways it seems easier than a canopy. If you are someone who likes a little extra privacy for nursing, you might want to give this a try. You can buy one for $33 at oliebollen.com.
The MoBoleez nursing hat was also reviewed at The Mom to Be Depot Blog and Boutique Cafe.

Have you noticed the local markets are providing sanitized towels for wiping down their carts before you place yours hands around the handles? It’s a great idea and an even better one is protecting your child from those same germs before placing them in the cart.
I like this two in one shopping cart cover because it promotes health and safety in an easy and convenient manner. Some of it’s features include extra padding, rear-security buckle, loops for small toys or teethers and a zippered pouch.
This shopping cart cover is one-size-fits-all, so it’s perfect for most shopping carts and even restaurant high chairs. Order yours at Right Start Web site, rightstart.com, for $42.99.

Luxurious change time anyone? After finding the Swirly Change Pad Cover, I love the idea of lying my little ones down on a cloud to be changed. It certainly might help with the squirmy, I-hate-to-be-changed phase, considering it wouldn’t seem as cold and stark as the average change pad.
In a room filled with blues and greens, much like my own nursery accessories and bedding, it would be the perfect accent to pull things together. Made to fit on most change pads, it comes in several pretty colors and one pleasing texture (there are other texture choices as well, with this being my favorite.)
At $34.95, it’s a splurge baby’s bum will be thankful for. Found at yummystyle.com.

Cocoon Couture offers a huge selection of adorable bean bag chair covers. It was hard to pick just one to illustrate this post. I like the owl because the color contrasts are eye-catching and it seems gender neutral.
All of the company’s covers are made of vintage fabrics that are appliquéd onto pinwale cord. They appear to be super soft and cozy. I think that any small child would be immediately drawn to this product. It would be a great place to sit and look at a good book.
The bags are made with a liner that keeps beans where they belong (although the beans themselves are sold separately). The bag is machine washable. Dimensions are 23.6” W x 33.5” H. You can buy one for $130 at www.cute-ture.com. The beads retail for $30. These were all sold out the first few times I browsed the site, so you might want to order soon.
