Circus Umbrella by Haba

Circus Umbrella by Haba

We had a rainy morning today, and it made me realize that my toddler is ready for her own umbrella.  My older daughter has a great umbrella from Haba (the Leafy Roof model), and I’m thinking that my little one would love this circus-themed one.  This umbrella is very appealing, with its bright colors and mini circus performer.  It is also made especially for use by preschoolers who may not be able to wield a larger umbrella.  The inside of the umbrella features a starry sky print.  Our other Haba umbrella has held up very well, so I know I will be pleased with this one.  And, because it is so fun and cute, I know I can get away with passing it off as a gift.

You can purchase one of these fun Circus Umbrellas for your own little boy or girl for $19.99 at oompa.com.

Circus Soft Blocks by Pottery Barn Kids

Circus Soft Blocks

If your child is at that throwing-things-around-the-room stage, you might like to consider these Circus Soft Blocks. Made by Pottery Barn Kids, they’re designed especially for visual stimulation and sized just for infants’ hands as they develop hand-eye coordination. With these soft fabric blocks, you won’t have to worry about your little one hurting themselves as they might with any kind of hard-edged blocks. These are sewn of polyester velour and cotton percale with polyester filling.

Plus, its a circus theme and I, like most folks, cannot resist the circus. This would make a great gift as well. View this item at PotteryBarnKids.com where the set is on sale for $39.99.

Wooden Toys Suitcase Gift Set

Wooden Toys Suitcase Gift Set

There are a lot of neat items inside this Suitcase Gift Set by Wooden Toys, but I would purchase it just for the case. It has a vintage look that is reminiscent of the days my parents took me and my siblings to the “Greatest Show on Earth” - the circus.

This four-piece set includes a yellow snap-suit onesie with a vintage elephant design, a yellow cap with a wooden block design, a matching thermal cotton blanket (30″ x 38″), and a white baby tee with a wooden horse design. The set comes in sizes Newborn 0-3 months, Small 3-6 months, and Medium/Large 6-12months.

The travel stickers that come on the suitcase can be personalized with baby’s name. How cute. I want one and I can buy one (and so can you) for $60 at poshtots.com.

Circus Stacking Blocks

Circus Stacking Blocks

A lot of my own memories as a child include scenes from the circus (who can forget little Dumbo?).  I think children are just naturally drawn to the sights and sounds of a three-ring circus and of course, all of the circus animals.

These playful circus prints decorate each side of the stacking block and are designed to stimulate your baby’s hand-eye coordination. What I also noticed about these fun circus scenes is that they can lead to all kinds of fun discussions about animals, gymnastics (lady on the wire!), weather (what kind of weather do penguins live in?), colors, and of course, the Circus!

Price: $39.00 at potterybarnkids.com.

Organic Bodysuit-Lion

Organic Bodysuit-Lion

Though I’m a big fan of stripes on babies, this onesie might be a bit too circus-esque for me. With the mixture of stripes, stars, and lions, it just might be over the top. It does, however, have its strong points. It’s not overpriced at $15.95 and is made from bamboo.

The sizes range from Newborn to Xlarge and there’s even a matching bib and several options in coordinating socks available. Depending on how far towards the big top your tastes run, you can get your Lion print bodysuit at diapersetc.com.
