I’ve mentioned before how tough it can be to find Christening gifts for babies. However, there’s a whole line of things appropriate for the blessed little one at SpiffyBaby.com. I favor Baby’s First Bible in Cotton Eyelet Cover. Made by Elegant Baby, it comes in a gift box, which is perfect for those of us who have two left hands when it comes to wrapping, and can be a keepsake for a child’s lifetime.
Done with care, the Bible itself is just as pretty as the eyelet cover and handy for Sunday service to boot. For a great price of $15.95, the 5.5 x 3” Bible and cover make a Christening gift that won’t soon be forgotten.

You may not be able to see from this picture, but this Romper by Victoria Kids really is crocheted for that vintage baby look. It also has a delicate tulle overlay and silk flowers embroidered at the neckline. White crochet, delicate tulle, silk flowers…your baby will look like a fairy from an enchanted garden!
If your baby will be accompanying you to a wedding, this White Crocheted Romper would do nicely especially when it’s time for the big family picture. Or, if you’re shopping for a christening dress, this “romper” would not only be a beautiful choice, it would also be practical. The lightweight and breathable materials of this beautiful dress “romper” will help your baby stay cool and comfortable.
Sizes range from 0-3 mos, 3-6mos, 6-12mos, and 12-18mos.
You can purchase this adorable romper for $66.00 at FairyPrincessClothing.com.

The Belgian Bordered Christening Shawl is a very pretty choice for baby’s christening attire. However, I’d consider buying two. At our son’s baptism, he spit up all over his outfit. Luckily, we had two for him but it was a shame the first barely made it into any photos.
With satin ribbon accenting the Belgian border, I like the gender neutral touch to this shawl. Outfit a baby girl in a dress or a boy in a suit or white sleepers on either and throw the shawl overtop for a traditional but more economical than your average satin and silk baptism look.
At $32.00, the Belgian Bordered Christening Shawl makes a nice heirloom piece slung over a chair in the nursery, or even a lovely wall hanging. Just the other day, I spotted two baptism gowns hung on a friend’s wall; they were perfect with the brown hue on the walls and the hardwood floors of the room.
I spotted the Belgian Bordered Christening Shawl at mymamabear.com. Gift wrap is available for $4.95.
