I have a friend whose second child, a boy, is due in December. Since her first child was a girl, she’s in need of all sorts of boy-themed clothing, and as my son is 4 1/2, I’ve been passing things on to her. I just might have to break down and buy these cute Lion Booties by Bla Bla for her, though. They would look so cute on a newborn’s feet, and as they are made of 100% hand-knit stretchable cotton, they would keep his feet warm and cozy this winter.

Although the booties come in just size 6 months, the manufacturer says they can stretch to accommodate 12 month size feet. These booties are hard to find in many online stores, but are currently available at RosenberryRooms.com for $27. They would make a great shower or Christmas gift.

Bla Bla Bubbles the Cat Loungewear Set

I’ve purchased several Bla Bla accessories recently, and absolutely love them.  I was excited to stumble upon the company’s loungewear sets while looking for something else entirely.  Each set includes a screenprinted cotton tee and a pair of fun, striped pants.  The graphic on the shirt matches a stuffed animal from the company’s line of high-quality toys. Unfortunately, the toy is not included in the set, but can be purchased separately.

One of these sets would make a great gift for any child, boy or girl.  It will mark your little one as the fun and silly child that he or she is. I just wish that a long-sleeved version were available, although I think the tee would look great layered over a solid colored shirt.  The set is available in toddler sizes and can be purchased for $58 at LittleLunaBlue.com.

Giant Blabla Dolls

Kids just can’t enough of hugging (or wrestling). My kids did both. My daughter used to drag her giant stuffed bear around the house with her well within reach for a hug whenever she needed one. Her brothers used to try and wrestle her bear away any chance they got.

These Giant Bla bla Dolls are made from soft 100% cotton by Peruvian artisans. Bla bla Kids is a woman-owned company famed for their charming hand knits. You can purchase a variety of stuffed animals, including lion, cat, monkey, and dog, for $125 at t ScarletAlley.com.

Bla Bla Mozart the Monkey Loungewear Set

Everybody needs a little buddy, which inspired the Bla Bla Mozart the Monkey Loungewear set. The outfit is cute enough, but adding “Spunky Mozart” the Monkey (sold separately) makes it fun for baby too! I would love to give this as a shower gift. It’s unique, fun, and sure to make an impression.

The cotton screened tee and coordinating pants have generous sizing for those in-between sizes. The set comes in a variety of characters (with matching doll sold separately) to choose from and in sizes 2 and 4. You can buy the loungewear set for $58.00 and Spunky Mozart the Monkey for $32.00 at LittleLunaBlue.com.

Bla Bla Animal Backpack

For some reason, little kids are drawn to backpacks. I think it might be because of the “older” kids that get to go to day care or school and they wish they could be “grown-up” too, but regular backpacks are just too big for the little ones.

That’s why I love Bla Bla Animal Backpacks. These little bags are made from thick, durable cotton and are lined on the inside with a zip closure. They come in butterfly, monkey, doggie, frog and lion designs. It’s small enough for a toddler to carry by himself, but big enough to carry a toy or snack.

These cute backpacks go for $42 and you can find them on lalaling.com.
