Fattamono products are a celebrity favorite. It does look a little European, and a little vintage. That’s why I like this Gift Basket.

Wonderful for the all-natural mom on your list, the Baby Gift Basket by Momma’s Baby is not only neutral in color but totally organic. Long or short sleeve organic body suit, teething toy, and organic pants for baby are wrapped up with a simple but elegant ribbon.
Everything is set in a basket that is lined with an organic burp cloth, which can be reused as a storage container. Sizes only run from NB-3M, so it’s perfect as a shower gift or new arrival gift. I like the sweet bear teething toy that tops the whole thing off; he’s pretty and textured with a serene look about him.
I would consider adding a couple cloth diapers to the basket, to really top it off, or perhaps an organic hat. You can dress your own gift basket up for mama-to-be at mommasbaby.com for $52.00.

I love the idea of having a diaper stacker equipped with compartments for various items, including a large sized spot for wipes containers. There’s even a handy swivelling handle for convenience with a padded hand grip for comfort. There are even inner pockets for small items, such as nail clippers. Keeping diapers, powders, change pads, and other diaper changing necessities organized in a caddy with cheerfully patterned or textured lining is especially useful for parents who travel about the house, perhaps between separate floors. Later on, once baby is out of diapers, the caddy can be used for a number of things—toys, crayons, books, DVDs, bath items, or anything you can imagine. Though I am sceptical that I could fit very many of my cloth diapers in the caddy, I’m sure I could fit at least a few along with many other things. 16.5 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 6 inches deep, regularly priced at $40.00 but with a sale price of $31.99, the Deluxe Diaper Caddy by sarabear co can be found at www.babystyle.com.

Not only am I partial to toile, but I love it in pink as well. I find this woven Moses basket to be both quaint and subtly sweet. The pattern of the basket lining and the blanket (included) edging, viewed up close, feature children playing together in the garden. The mattress cover is waterproof, always a plus, and firm for baby’s comfort. I have coveted Moses baskets since I had my first child, but have not yet purchased or received one. It’s handy to have for baby’s naps while at home, visiting friends, or out with family. Later on, when baby is too big for the basket, it strikes me as a good place to store diapers or blankets. This particular $139.00 basket is a lovely choice for anyone, especially since it is designed in blue as well at www.hipandlittle.com.

Clairebella by Kathy Denness Moses baskets come in a variety of colors and patterns that will suit anyone’s taste. Their appealing design has made them sought after by stars such as Britney Spears, Courtney Cox, and Gwyneth Paltrow. They retail from approximately $190-$200. You can see the complete line and find a list of online retailers at www.clairebella.com. I loved the idea of a Moses basket, and with so many fun and trendy ones to choose from, I had to have one. That said, I can’t ever remember my daughter sleeping in hers. It never seemed quite practical, and I worried that she was just too close to its walls when I put her in it. We co-slept when she was an infant, and the basket was immensely useful as in-bed storage for diapers, wipes, and hand sanitizer, which saved a lot of time and energy in the early months. I now use it as a cute toy basket.
