I’ve never been a huge proponent of everything princess-related, but my middle daughter has discovered this wonderful world nonetheless. We’ll actually be celebrating her upcoming birthday with a dress up party. So, when I stumbled upon this Princess to Go Bag, I knew it would be perfect for her big day. Available in either blonde or brunette, this bag is perfectly sized for a toddler. We’ll likely just be having family at our party since it is so close to the holidays, but if were having other little girls over, I think this would make a great party favor. At $10 each, they won’t destroy your budget. You can purchase them at theredballoon.com.

Here’s an unusual diaper bag for hip moms on the go. Made by Baby Star, this metallic turquoise bag is definitely eye-catching. Measuring 18″ x 36″ it has all kinds of pockets to organize your belongings. It also comes with a changing pad and wipes case. Since it isn’t immediately identifiable as a diaper bag, it will remain useful beyond the diaper years. This fun bag retails for $89.95 and can be purchased at sandboxcouture.com. Several other fabric choices are also available.

Here’s a great travel option for kids on the go. The Terra Kids Wash Bag from Haba is perfect for toting a child’s toiletries. It features mesh pockets to keep items organized, while air holes help everything dry. A fun carabiner on the bag’s exterior keeps keys safe. This bag looks great, and will no doubt be appreciated by little explorers everywhere. Designed by Matthias Bock, it can be purchased for $25.99 at oompa.com.

I have a boxy backpack in this Morning in Mumbai print, and it is one of my favorite diaper bags. I can’t even count the number of compliments I have had on the stunning print. Several bags in this print are currently being discounted, including this great clutch. Just the right size for quick errands, this bag easily attaches to a wrist or stroller, and has room for just the basics. It comes with a fold-out changing pad and a wipes case. You can purchase one on sale for $62 (from $82) at designpublic.com. You will not regret your purchase as the print is even better in person.

I am a confessed diaper bag addict. I’ve limited myself this time around because I’m done having children and I have enough diaper bags to outfit a whole army of moms. However, when I saw this innovative Gitta Bag, I had to ask myself if there might be room for one more. The bag is quite practical, with all of the usual accessories. Backpack straps leave your hands free when you are on the go. The best part, in my opinion, is that it can be customized with a fold out activity bar/toy arch. Prices range from $150-$180. You can check out this fun line at 2sweetsisters.com.

This diaper bag looks cool enough for the hippest dads. Made by DadGear, the Route 66 Messenger Bag is designed to look like a bike messenger bag, yet on the inside, it’s a highly organized diaper bag. The bag is “hands free” so that you can access everything inside the bag without having to put your child down. Inside the bag is a Quick Access Wipes Case, two large pockets, two tall zippered pockets, and a changing pad, and two bottle pockets are accessible from the outside or the inside of the bag. Dad will hopefully be proud to carry this stylish, masculine-looking diaper bag. You can purchase the Route 66 Messenger Bag at Kitsel.com for $79. It would make a great new dad (or, thinking ahead, Father’s Day) gift.

Here’s a fun and practical diaper bag that also helps a good cause. This March of Dimes Bloom Tote Bag by JP Lizzy features 2 open interior pockets, a large zippered pocket, pockets for bottles, and exterior side pockets perfect for stashing things like keys and phones that you need to keep handy while on the go. It comes with a very cute coordinating changing pad. I think this style could easily be converted for use as a chic tote bag after your child leaves diapers. Best of all, 10% of proceeds go to the March of Dimes. You can purchase one of these stylish bags for $68 at TheFrogAndThePrincess.com.

If you love the look of the leather diaper bags that many celebrity moms are carrying these days, but can’t stomach the $300+ price tags, check out this faux leather alternative. This bag is also a great option if, like me, you are a vegetarian and don’t wear/carry leather. It has the classic look of a purse, but the features of a diaper bag. It includes two front bottle pockets and a fully-lined interior with a number of pockets for keeping the essentials organized. The look is chic enough that you can continue to use it as a handbag even after your child leaves diapers behind. The bag is currently on sale for $39 at BellaBMaternity.com.

I love going to the supermarket these days and seeing so many people with their canvas bags. The reality is that more and more people are taking small steps to go green. And there’s no reason why you can’t get your toddler on this path as well. Here’s an adorable canvas bag your child won’t mind being seen with. However, the Envirosax doesn’t just have a fun print, it’s also very practical—it’s waterproof and has reinforced seams that hold up better than any plastic bag. This would be a great bag to put toys in for that trip to Grandma’s or even for a playdate at a friend’s house. In fact, you could even have your toddler bring this to the supermarket next time you go and help you carry some groceries home.
You can find this green bag at nimli.com for $8. There are larger, adult size canvas bags on the site as well, though personally I find this print to be the most interesting of them all.

I’m a bit of an evil mother because our vegetarianism keeps my kids from ever having the Easter favorite Peeps (or anything else made from marshmallows). Luckily, this “Marshmallow” Bunny Set from Yellow Label Kids is vegetarian approved. It is also adorably cute. I would much rather fill my kids’ baskets with fun, eco-friendly finds than candy anyway. This set includes three cute little bunnies in bright spring colors in a crocheted basket. These little guys are knit by hand using Fair Trade labor. Even the youngest child will enjoy taking these cute toys out of the basket and packing them back in again. Older children can use them as play food/candy for imaginative play. They will look great popping out of an Easter basket, and they won’t cause cavities. You can purchase the set for $26.99 at oompa.com.

This is the first time that my 2 year old son has become totally fascinated with a bag. Like me, he tries to stuff as many things in as possible, but unlike my bag his is much more stylish and he is proud to be seen out and about with it. This bag is so roomy that you can get plenty in and yet the straps are nicely padded so it’s easy to carry. The Dabbawalla backpack comes in a range of great designs like penguins, dogs, cows, traffic lights or watermelons. They are insulated so anything inside can stay cool or warm for hours. The material is stain resistant and washable and having put it to the test I can safely say very sturdy.
Not only is this bag great to look at but it has a nice story behind it too. The bags are designed in the USA but manufactured by a female owned and operated facility in Taiwan using lead safe PVC free bags and certified safe dyes. Dabbawalla Bags have provided them with a micro loan that has helped the company expand and in turn provided fair wage jobs for women in this rural area. A great bag with a great story! This bag is recommended for ages 2 and up, and sells for $47.99 at Oompa.com

This cute bag recently caught my eye on Cookie Magazine’s website. The Zoo Collection Bag by Vessel features graphics of zoo animals including giraffes, porcupines, and elephants on brightly colored canvas. It’s a great alternative to the standard bag for your child to take to preschool or elementary school for snack or lunch. Vessel also sells larger zippered bags and hats to match.
You can view this item at Vessel.com, where the bags are selling from $36 to $99 depending on size. (As this product cannot be ordered online, you must call Vessel’s customer service to order. The phone number is on the website).

The next time you take your children to the local park, take along this Nature Bag by Sylvie de Sousa and Katharine Byers. You and your children will be on a Nature “Hunt” as you explore the nature surrounding you.
The Bag includes leaf viewers, color cards, hemp twine, a magnifying glass and recycled pen and paper to jot down your notes. It will turn an ordinary outing into an adventure.
Be sure to talk about it with your children before you go out. When my children and I were planning a car trip up to Monterey, California, I put up a large map of California in our dining room and marked the different stops we would make. I put up pamphlets and postcards, newspaper clippings and info from the Internet that had interesting facts and fun pictures of the places we would see. It made the trip all the more exciting because they’d helped in the planning. You can do likewise on a simple outing to the park.
Let your children’s (and your) imaginations run wild. Visit NaturalPod.com to view this item, priced at $34.99 CAD (about $29 USD).

The Boon Stuffed Animal Bag solves several potential problems at once–providing a tidy way to keep the stuffed animal mess under control, while offering comfortable, child-friendly seating.
The idea is simple. The seat arrives without any filling (which means no styrofoam beans to harm the environment or to leak out in your home). You stuff the seat with all of the stuffed animals that are likely taking over your home the way they are taking over my own. Then your child can enjoy relaxing with a good book or favorite toy on his or her very own chair.
Several colors and styles of these animal bags are available. They retail for $89.99 each and can be purchased at ModernTots.com. They make fun gifts too.
