Recently, I bought baby be yoga pants for my baby on Etsy.com. I love the Brown Elie (elephant) and found the perfect top to match it to in my littlest son’s closet. There are matching tops for sale, if you like a full ensemble. Though I thought they were more of a Gi material, they are actually a simple pair of cotton pants. Therefore, I might have paid a bit much for them at $15, they were just too cute to pass up. Available in 0-3. 3-6, and 18-24 Month sizes, they’re precious on, have a lot of give for cloth diapers and growing, and look comfy as can be. The seller is very helpful and friendly, something I value when buying online.

I always like to see something a bit different for babies, especially boys, since it can be tough to find things I love for my little men. Though at first the sizing on these pants seems confusing, I’m absolutely in love with the Linen Terracotta Boys (though I don’t see why they wouldn’t work for girls as well) Pants. From Etsy seller Adatine for $25, the color is vivid and eye-catching and the fit looks absolutely comfy and cool. The pocket adds an interesting detail and shipping is not outrageous, though the item ships from Lithuania. Great with sweaters or tees to match, I am seriously drooling over the very thought of receiving these gems in the mail.

The current trend for young boys of wearing plaid shorts and cropped pants is definitely a cute one. I like the preppy but off-the-beaten-track feel of it and would gladly let my son have some if he expressed interest. You can pretty much find them everywhere, but I do like the prepster cool pair from Okkies.com for the sale price of $30.99 (they were $47!) Get ’em in either blue/mint or lime/aqua in sizes 6 months right up to boys size 8. Comfy in 100% cotton, they can be worn everywhere; dressed up for school with a polo shirt or to the beach with a muscle tee.

I had to smile at the irony of receiving Hanna Andersson’s new spring catalog on one of the coldest days of the year. It definitely makes me long for warmer weather. In general I am excited for summer when our baby will be sitting up, starting to crawl, and all the other things that make the 6 month age so much fun. These fun clothes from Anderson just seem perfect for that age.  I especially love these Soft Landings Pants, which feature a cute little starfish on the behind.

My mother-in-law can always be trusted to shop for quality clothes for my sons; her recent purchase included matching outfits for them. I love the look of these cargo pants with the blue and yellow striped long-sleeved shirt with a football on the front on my older son. I’m definitely a fan of the superiority of the clothing at PleaseMum.com; they stand up to my 3-year-old and fit my 3-month-old (who wears 6-9 month sizes but can’t easily be dressed in separates as actual 9 month children can be) comfortably. At a great price of $12.99 (on sale down from $26.99), there’s not even a need to shop around for clothing from less expensive companies, as I generally would while trying to dress my sons. If I can hit up a sale at places with durable apparel, I much prefer that to purchasing lesser quality things for less that might not even dress both of my sons.

I wore the cargo pants on my son, with the matching shirt, for a Christmas event and they stood the test of running and falling and playing admirably. He was easily able to get them up and down for washroom visits and the shirt complimented his complexion nicely. Rugged and boyish, but not stiff or uncomfortable, the Please Mum collection is an ideal fit for us. Though regular prices might be beyond our reach (but aren’t overly inflated), sales are quite attainable. Also a plus? I just bought the navy and white version of these Mini Stripe Pants from Pottery Barn Kids for my three-year-old.  I like the way they look, and they seem like they are super-comfortable.  With an elastic waist and wide legs, they are easy to get on and off, which makes them perfect for my daughter as she masters going to the bathroom independently. She wears them with a long white tunic, and the look is very clean, classic, and casual.

A little Gwen Stefani-esque (just add suspenders) and a little funky, the Baby Phat Plaid W Flocked Art Woven Capri is outside the norm for baby clothes. That’s really something I can appreciate as a mom with my eye on the unique. With a black or white tee and some cute shoes (sparkly maybe?), your baby will be a trend starter at play group.
