Kids Ink Hooded Zip-up Jacket

This hooded zip-up jacket by Kids Ink recently took my eye, as the colors and design are so bright and unusual. The manufacturers say it’s a great way to encourage self-expression, and I couldn’t agree more. It’s important to foster self-confidence and encourage individuality in children at a young age. The jacket is adorned with one-of-a-kind artwork designed by Kids Ink, and made of a polyester/cotton blend that machine washes easily. The jacket is available in a wide variety of sizes for babies and children, from 12-18 months up to 6 years old, and sells for $55.80 at Zappos.com.

Patagonia Baby Down Sweater

This Baby Down Sweater by Patagonia looks like the perfect piece of outerwear to keep your baby warm and comfortable this winter. It’s made of 600-fill goose down insulation with a 100% recycled polyester shell that is treated with a Deluge durable water repellent finish. The coat is still lightweight enough to be comfortable on baby, while keeping the wind, rain, and snow off her body.

One of the most interesting parts of this jacket is how it’s made: from recycled polyester. On Patagonia’s website, it says that they recycle soda bottles, unusuable second quality fabrics, and worn out garments into polyester to make this baby down sweater. It comes in blue, green, vermillion, and cherry blossom, in sizes from 3 months to 3T. You can purchase this versatile item at Patagonia.com for $80. During the company’s special promotion, if you spend $100 or more on outerwear, you get free 2-day shipping.

Harajuku Lovers Infant Girl’s Brit Gwen Bodysuit

Here is a great deal on an item that would usually be a bit too expensive for most. This Harajuku Lovers Infant Girl’s Brit Gwen Bodysuit, by Gwen Stefani, is a long-sleeved snapsuit with a three button snap on the bottom. The old car and black and white checks on the front make it even seem appealing for a boy, in my opinion, although it is advertised as being for girls. The bodysuit is 100% cotton, making it even more comfortable for your little one.

It is available in sizes 3 months and 9 months only, and is on sale for $30.80 (reg. $44) with an additional 50% off at checkout - that means you’ll end up paying just $15 for a $44 bodysuit. What a great deal on designer baby clothes! You can view this steal at Bloomingdales.com.

Birdlette Design Bear Kids Onesie

This Bear Kids Onesie by Birdlette Design was recently featured in Cookie Magazine. All of the t-shirts and onesies made by Birdlette Design are double-silkscreened by hand. Their tees and onesies feature a variety of cute animal silkscreens, in addition to the hot pink bear on the navy onesie shown above. Other animals include elephant, warthog, kangaroo, and guinea pigs, to name a few.

Onesies are available in sizes from 3-6 months to 18-24 months, and tees from 6-12 months to 6T. Both come in long or short-sleeve styles. As they run small, the manufacturer recommends ordering one size larger than your child would wear. You can purchase these tees or onesies at etsy.com for $28.

Janie and Jack Hand-Embroidered Cable Beanie

It is quite cold where we live, and I have been having all kinds of trouble finding a hat that is small enough for our newborn to wear.  Everything ends up falling down in her face and covering up her eyes, which does not please her (and with good reason). I was excited to discover that Janie and Jack’s layette collection includes outerwear in preemie sizes.  I particularly like this cable knit sweater beanie, with its soft blue color and classic style.  Made from a cotton angora blend, it looks like it would be as soft as can be on a little head.  Earflaps and and a chin strap create finish off this adorable look while keeping the hat securely in place.  The hat is lined with soft cotton jersey.  You can purchase one on sale for $9.99 at JanieAndJack.com.  It is available in sizes from preemie to 3-6 months.

Baby Boy Airplane Bib by Two Elizabeths

Baby Boy Airplane Bib by Two Elizabeths

This Baby Boy Airplane Bib looks luxurious. Made by Two Elizabeths, it’s not just a bit of terry cloth - it’s reversible, with top-stitching that gives it that finished look. There is a matching burp cloth and t-shirt (sold separately) that would make a great gift for moms expecting a little boy. I think this Airplane Bib has a kind of retro-look to it (must be the WWII  airplane) that makes this a unique gift. Visit BarefootBella.net to order this item, on sale now for just $8 (down from $10).
