I am expecting my third cold weather baby, and I have learned that sleep sacks are an absolute must. They are much safer than blankets, and they help keep babies feeling cozy and happy at night. I have just discovered the great sleep sacks made by the French company Kaloo.
The Lilirose Sleep Sack is absolutely adorable. You can tell just from a picture that it is luxuriously thick and soft. It is clearly made from a different blend of fabrics than most of the sacks I currently have, many of which tend to pill. It is also much easier to use than many other similar sacks, since it opens on three sides, making middle of the night diaper changes much less of a chore.

this sleepsack is cute and we tried it too for the cuteness, but we found the Halo sleepsack to be much better quality and the front zipper makes the diaper changes less of a challenge because there is just one opening. we got ours from Halosleep.com - but i know a bunch of local shops carry them too -they come in different weights so you can have one in cool or warm weather - it is our must have! try it, i bet you will love it!
August 19th, 2008 at 8:04 pmWe agree with Greta that Kaloo Sac are fantastic. We looked at the Halo but they were not as soft or special. Kaloo quality was superior. After 6 months we were happy to learn Kaloo has another size (6 to 18 months)
August 22nd, 2008 at 2:54 pmI used both Kaloo sleeping bags and Halo sleepsacks. Kaloo’s sleep sacks are absolutely great for the fall/winter, very soft and comfortable! There are 2 sizes small (up to 6 months) and large (up to 15-18 months). Unfortunately they were too warm for the summer so I bought 2-3 Halo cotton sleep sacks.
