Papo d’Anjo was founded by Catherine Monteiro de Barros, a mother of four living in England. She is the company’s sole designer, and has led her company to success, becoming a favorite among upscale moms everywhere.

This Deluxe Baby Basket is quite pricey and I’m willing to admit it would be way out of the price range of the average mom (myself included). But if you do have the means and you really want to make a “grand gesture,” this beautiful and luxurious baby gift includes a hand-knit wrap front baby cardigan, knit pants, hat, booties and scalloped edge receiving blanket, all in super soft imported merino wool, a baby blouse with delicate scalloped edge and collar, hand-embroidered in Madeira and made from the softest cotton and a little Papo d’Anjo bear.  And for a finishing touch, Papo d’Anjo baby baskets are beautifully arranged in a pique-lined wicker basket, and presented in their Italian handmade gift box.

The Deluxe Baby Basket retails for $399.00 at Papo d’Anjo.com. I know — I couldn’t figure out why it’s so pricey either. So I checked similar items at their Web site and found a Basic Baby Basket for $99 and the Classic Winter Basket for $269. It must be the name–and the quality.
