Personally, I’m a huge fan of Phil & Ted’s. They come up with the most ingenious gear– obviously they have some seriously creative parents designing products that are not only practical but also stylish. I’ve been waiting for their Wriggle Wrapper to officially come out in stores so that I could do a review of it. This three-in-one contraption is basically a high chair, secure sit-and-play spot, and crib away from home. No need for portable high chairs or even travel cribs (though I highly recommend their travel crib, which we have used on countless occasions with our twins). You basically wrap this around your child, much like you would a diaper, and you can secure him/her either to your own lap or even chair. And what’s amazing is that the straps fit around most twin beds, creating a safe and convenient place for your child to sleep while traveling away from home.
It is machine washable and folds into its own storage bag, making it even more convenient for travel. The manufacturer says that you can use this product until your baby is 24 months old, though I don’t know if I would use the sleep feature with kids that old since they would probably prefer some wiggle room at that point. Available in both charcoal and red, you can buy this brand new product on shopphilandteds.com for just $49.99–not a bad deal for all the ways you can use it.

Every time I use one of my convenient disposable diapers on my twins, I feel guilty, thinking about how I am unfortunately adding to the many landfills already present. I just can’t bring myself to do the extra work cloth diapers would require for two toddlers. However, I see products like this and wonder if I should have at least given it a shot.
Here’s a new funky diaper cover from Bummis for you amazing environmentally-conscious parents out there. The manufacturer promises a perfect fit, even for those skinny babies who need more protection around the legs. Free of elastic, their diaper cover uses a soft lycra that will not only better fit your baby but also be more gentle on his or her sensitive skin. Lightweight and waterproof, the cover is designed to work with any type of diaper–flat or form-fitted. Made completely in Bummis’ own factory in Montreal, this product is not only environmentally friendly but also reflects fair labor practices. Available in four funky colors, this diaper cover can be purchased for $12.25 at babybunz.com. Buy four or more, and each is just $12.

I really like my Maclaren double stroller, but after pushing around my friend’s new BOB Duallie stroller, I began to realize the benefits of having a jogging stroller. Although her stroller is heavier than mine, weighing in at about 33 pounds, it was a breeze pushing her twins around. The stroller basically pushes itself, making it that much easier to walk or jog with your duo and start working off some of that leftover baby fat. The stroller boasts many of the same features of other double strollers–seats that recline independently, five-point seat harnesses that keep your kids secure, a multi-position sunshade, and pockets for various baby items you may need on your excursion. It also features a rotating front wheel that that not only gives you more control but also makes turning around much easier. The tires are extra-wide and ready for any kind of road be it smooth and paved or bumpy and rugged. In addition to a safety strap that you can loop onto your wrist, there’s even a rear wheel braking system you can activate with your foot to ensure your stroller doesn’t go anymore that you’re not.
But I have to say my favorite part of all is the fact that the stroller is engineered in a way to really make two babies feel lighter than they should be. While I can’t rationalize spending money on another pricey stroller right now, I am definitely thinking about trading in my beloved Maclaren at some point when my twins just feel too heavy to push around and upgrading to one of these bad boys. You don’t have to be a jogger to take advantage of this one in my opinion. This particular BOB stroller, available in either Navy or Orange, can be found at REI.com for $569. Have it sent to an REI store for pickup, and avoid paying extra for shipping.

This adorable spring dress caught my eye while I was browsing the Internet today. I absolutely love both the pattern and color of this fabric. While I myself would have a hard time paying $59 for a dress my daughter would only wear for a limited time before she outgrew it, I think this would make a great dress if you’re planning on taking your daughter to a fancy occasion this spring (or summer even) and are willing to pay a little extra for something that looks nice. And like other products from Jasper Hearts Wren, you can be certain that this was made from high quality fabric sewn by local seamstresses, not underpaid workers in factories.
Available in a variety of colors in addition to “ava” as shown above, this dress comes in three sizes: 6-12 months, 1-2T, and 2-3T. You can buy this dress for $59 at jasperheartswren.com.

After having read all the great reviews, I was excited about seeing how my twins would interact with their first “big” toy. My parents bought this for their first birthday last week and I’m not exaggerating when I say that they have been playing with it for hours every day. Fisher-Price did an amazing job creating something interactive and fun enough to really hold a child’s attention for an extended period of time. Features include a window that goes up and down, a door that opens and closes, a doorbell, a light switch, and even a radio.
There are two settings: Learning Mode and Music Mode, giving kids (and adults I might add) hours of entertainment. And for you parents of multiples, this is a great one to bring home. It’s big enough that more than one kid can play at once and they can even play together. And even better is that it doesn’t take up a lot of space unlike some other big toys out there on the market. You can find this toy on toysrus.com for $74.99 or score yourself one for half-price on Craigslist. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Here is an adorable t-shirt for the warmer weather that is almost here. These cotton shirts from Mini Boden come in three different colors, each with their own farmyard favorite: Red (pig), Green (cow), and Blue (Hen). Any of these would be a great way to introduce your little one to animal sounds or encourage older babies to join you in a round of Old McDonald. I’m a big fan of simple bright colored shirts like this, and especially love ones that have an envelope neckline which make dressing my fidgety twins so much easier. I also like the fact that these shirts work equally well for both girls and boys. They are available in newborn to 24 months, and sell for $22 on bodenusa.com. A few sizes are already out of stock, so go to the website and order yours today.

I’m a big fan of flowery prints. They work perfectly for both spring and summer, especially when they’re in such bright colors like this Baby Day Dress from Mini Boden. This adorable dress comes in both the bright blue flower print pictured above and an equally nice sunshine yellow polka dot variation. Featuring a collar, capped sleeves, and matching pants, this is the perfect outfit for a variety of occasions. Pair it with sandals and a bucket hat, and your little one is ready for a day out in the sun. Match it up with dressy shoes and a cardigan, and she’s ready for a more formal afternoon or evening affair. You can find this dress for $36 on bodenusa.com.

Here’s a cute simple skirt that’s got just enough detail to make it stand out without sacrificing comfort. Made of 100% organic cotton, this skirt has side pockets and contrast trim, which in my opinion is what really gives it character and allows you to match it up perfectly with a coordinating Kate Quinn puff sleeve tee. Skirts are great for both the spring and summer, as they can even be worn with leggings or tights for those cooler days and nights. This skirt comes in a variety of colors on different websites, but the cheapest I’ve seen it for so far is in Blackberry/Peony for $27 on happychickadee.com. If you want to check out all the different colors available go to katequinnorganics.com, where you have a more varied selection of colors and sizes, even though you’ll pay a little extra ($32 per skirt).

Last on my list of spring items for boys is this reversible hat from Janie and Jack. The dinosaur print will surely bring a fun touch to any spring outfit while keeping your little one safe and comfortable under the sun. Made of soft cotton twill, this hat even comes with chinstraps to help keep it in place when you buy it in sizes 0-24 month.
I love the fact that this hat is reversible–it’s like getting two hats for the price of one. The other side (which you can see pictured on the website) is a “grass green” plaid which would look great with a variety of outfits. You could pair this hat with a coordinating piece from Janie and Jack or use it to complement clothes your little boy already has in his wardrobe.
Normally selling for $18, this two-for-one bucket hat is now on sale for $13.99 at janieandjack.com.

What spring outfit would be complete without sandals? These stylish sandals from Robeez are sure to not only look great with your little boy’s spring gear, but also be very comfortable and good for his growing feet. Personally, I’ve always liked brown sandals because I think they’re much easier to match to a variety of outfits, which not only saves money but time getting ready in the morning. I especially like the splash of color these have which make them stand out from the typical brown sandal. The shoes have non-slip, water-resistant soles that work great for the outdoors and the elastic back and adjustable fasteners make it easier to keep them on those active feet. Approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association, these sandals also boast cushioned insoles that provide the support and comfort you want for your kids’ feet. You can buy them for $39.95 on robeez.com.

What little boy doesn’t look adorable in a stylish embroidered shirt? While I am a big fan of onesies and pants on a day to day basis—anything that makes changing easier is the way to go, in my opinion—I also like having a few nice items for those special events. I would never put my son in this embroidered shirt right before feeding him blueberries per se, but I think this top would work perfectly for a special event that doesn’t involve him creating a mess from his high chair. A part of Gap’s Villa Collection, this embroidered shirt is a warm milky color, making it easy to pair up with a variety of pants or even jeans. A linen and cotton blend, it is fancier that a t-shirt but just as easily cleaned in the washing machine. Available for $24.50 on gap.com, this is a fabulous spring item for boys rivaling all those cute dressy tops now out there for girls.

Here’s a great set of clothes to add to your boy’s spring wardrobe. This 5-piece set is part of Tea Collection’s “early spring daily tea” line. What’s great is that you get two tees and even one polo (for those dressier occasions) that coordinate perfectly with the two pants that are included in the set. Because all three tops can be worn with the two pants, you get six outfits with just one simple purchase. I like the fact that the shirts are all interesting and different from one another, so you really get some variety here. Available in sizes 3 months up to 5 years, this set can be yours for just $95, which comes out to about $16 an outfit. You can find this set (as well as others) on teacollection.com.

I’m a big fan of Janie and Jack’s overalls. My son had a similar one that he wore last summer. This cotton twill shortall with embroidered scooter is perfect for the upcoming spring weather. You can easily pair this with a variety of onesies you already have in his closet, but there is also a coordinating yellow striped bodysuit with matching scooter appliqué available for purchase. And for fancier spring events, you could dress this up with a nice polo. Originally priced for $34, the pocket shortall is on sale for $26.99; the coordinating bodysuit is $15.99 (marked down from $20). You can find these (and other items perfect for the spring) at JanieAndJack.com

I know that the bright red color of this dress from Gap feels fitting for Valentine’s Day, but there’s no reason this can’t work equally well for spring. A linen/cotton blend, this vibrant tank dress is part of the Villa Collection featured on the site. The front patch pockets as well as attractive embroidery make this simple dress perfect for special occasions. The dress comes with a diaper cover, though it can also be paired nicely with the recommended crochet-detailed leggings. For those who want to further add to the ensemble, there is even a matching sun hat and cardigan available, though you can save yourself some money and buy a plain white or red sweater and avoid the risk of your daughter looking too color-matched. You can find the tank dress for $34.50 on gap.com.

Janie and Jack always has adorable, high quality clothing, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that one of their dresses made my top five list. This dress has some nice details, like the flutter sleeves and embroidered daisies. Both the colors and style are perfect for spring. This would definitely pair well with a sweater for those days or evenings when the temperatures are a little cooler. A coordinating bloomer completes the outfit for sizes newborn through 24 months. There is even an invisible side zipper to help you easily get your little one in and out of her fancy dress. Originally priced at $48, this dress is currently on sale for $36.99 at janieandjack.com. You can either pocket that little over 20% discount or use it to buy some accessories to really complete this look.
